I'm looking for cost comparison information about switching to electronic cigarettes. I realize that everyone is different, as well as differences in equipment, but it seems like there should be a guideline to help people decide to make the switch.

The following is rough guidelines based on a 1-pack-a-day smoker using a dse901.

What I have figured out so far is:
  • the $10 vaporizer should be replaced monthly
  • the cartridge should be refilled after 7 cigarettes worth of smoking
  • cartridges need to be cleaned or replaced every week or so
  • it takes just under 1ml ejuice to refill a cartridge
  • cheap ejuice costs about $0.50/ml

So far, it will cost me about $55/month, plus whatever kits I decided to buy and try.

I still can't find:
  • how often the $15 battery should be replaced
  • what other expenses will be encountered

Again, I realize everyone is different. You may be able to make your vaporizer last 6 months ... and I hope that I will too. What I'm looking for is realistic guidelines for cost comparison on making the switch.

OK, kit cost around a carton of smokes.. You also buy a 10 ml bottle of juice.. If your a pack a day it will last you 3 to 4 weeks.. You can refill carts as many times as you want .. Theres no limit.. just clean the cart.. The 901 atomizers that I have , have lasted me 4 mounths now.. I just keep them clean.. same with the batts.. I drip all the time and a bottle of juice 10ml lasts me a week.. The carts take 8 to 12 drops when empty.. I was smoking 3 packs a day. That cost me 70 bucks a week.. This costs me around 15.00 a week.. You do the math.. Good luck..
