I guarantee you the the tobaccy companies will start selling these or something similar if there are no major legal hurdles involved. After all they have tried smokeless products in the past, albeit products that still used tobacco, like RJR's eclipse.
Remember, the litigation over their products' health consequences and the high tax rates are killing their bottom line currently. They've even been forced to make a decidedly impotent counter-advertising PR campaign (offering quitting info on industry sponsored websites, etc.) to save their public image and protect against future litigation.
Thus I would imagine that they are eager to open any new line of profit, and their participation in the market, and likely legal action against competitors using names like "camel" and marybo" or "marobo" or making any allusion to their trademarks is inevitable.
And to answer the original question: Absolutely not, for as long as I can conceivably support individuals over corporations I will continue to do so. Though as much as I hate to admit it, the participation of big tobabcco or big pharma may be the only thing that forces FDA approval, which it is becoming obvious will be necessary for the future of us vapers to remain smoke free.
It's very encouraging to hear that e-ciggies are or will be available at Target and Walgreens, though! The more big money with vested interests in these products the more likely they are to remain available!
Oh, and hello. This is my first post - I've been smoke free for two whole days now.
