| We have language and interpretation barriers that just don't seem to be enough to let these folks know they are probably losing customers by flooding the discussion threads with superfluous hype.
Hey, I already know smoking is bad for you. Sort of a fine line to walk being a supplier and participating as a valuable contributing member in discussions. Some can do it, some can't.
I bet if you volunteered to be a MOD, it would help. HEY SUPPLIERS; go here to start your thread. E-Cigarette Supplier Hype!

| It has gotten totally crazy with seller posts....what part of "PUT THAT IN SUPPLIER HYPE" are they not getting? I just decided to just ignore those posts entirely...will not even look at their sites. And I have made a few orders from overseas in the past....decided I do not like waiting almost 3 weeks for my orders when I can fund a business right here in the good ole USA and get my order in less than a week. |

| I guess we have to put up with it.
If you start adding more and more rules then sooner or later there will be a rule you don't like.
I would like to offer my opinion on some of the somewhat worthless posts that seem to do nothing more than bump the list of threads on the sidebar. These extra threads can be really annoying.
1) A new thread is not always needed. I understand it gets an easily seem comment added to the sidebar but it makes navigating this forum much more complicated. Go see how many threads this already forum has. Why start a new thread? There is an "Official Introduce Yourself" thread. Go find it. Starting another thread with "Hi I'm Joe" or Newbie Here" just shows you didn't really "lurk" long enough to see how to jump it. If nervous about joining in, go find a topic that interests you and add your two cents worth.
2) Suppliers PLEASE post your advertisements in the "Supplier Hype" section. We do watch that section. If you would also like to participate in discussions I sure that is OK with the management. POST ADVERTISEMENTS IN THE SUPPLIER HYPE SECTION.
4) Another word of caution to the suppliers. You DO NOT HAVE THE BEST E-CIG. The best e-cig does not exist.
Got it? YOU DO NOT HAVE THE BEST SERVICE.
5) If you are considerate and try to fit in with the flow most of us here will be more than willing to help you out. There are members that have tried most every model out there and even though they may have a favorite it's probably because it works for them.
The above was only MY point of view, not that of the forum. I'm sure that it won't be long before 10 new threads push this post off the side bar.
I will BASH (verbally of course) the first "WE HAVE THE BEST E-CIG AND BEST PRICES AND BEST SERVICE" post that follows this post

| it is so annoying to see all of these suppliers posting in the general forum rather than in the Supplier Hype section. Don't they realize they are just ticking off the members of the forum by the "junk" they are posting? Yes, we OBVIOUSLY know what a e-cig is! And referring to the vapor as "smoke" ...well that just goes against the grain of the vaping cause to educate about vaping being totally different from a analog. |

| richied,
You are correct.
We have some sellers, U.S., U.K., and from China that have information about the e-cigs, and components that we, the buyer (and vaper) use.
Sometimes compatibility issues come up, like will this fit on here, or is this pretty atty available in purple (important to some people ).
Even small sellers can have access to this info and it is helpful to us. Some, probably most, even are vapers themselves. It takes a little 'tact' to walk the line between user and seller and not sound like you are selling your product when you are giving advice.
I realize that there is still more to learn about e-cigs and would be happy to listen.
But not to the "smoking is bad for you, e-cigs can be health improvement" over and over and over.
Thanks,
Rocket

| There are just so many folks trying to sell e-cigs. Once they get a pile of cash invested in stock then it's time for the hype. This really is good for us, the buyer, because it creates a great deal of competition and will force down prices. Haven't seen any of the $149.99 kits here in a long while
I suggest to sellers, small one, big ones, manufacturers, try real hard to 'fit in'.
Those selling in bulk, with MOQs in the 100's or 1000's, stay in the Supplier section. Most of your customers are there anyway. If you are unsure where to post, read some of your peer's entries. See how they do it without getting bashed.
Just an example to follow:
If you are a small U.S. seller, read every post that LeCig has made. He don't get bashed.
If you are a seller or manufacturer from China, read the posts from HG or HC.
There are many sellers, these are just a couple of examples.
We (buyers) want to be able to trust the person we send money to. Build on that trust. I for one will spend a little extra to buy from someone I like and trust.

| Its really frustrating to us too. We have followed the rules since we joined this forum in the very beginning.
Nowadays, we see many wannabes flouting the rules and even posting advertisements in the General Discussion section.
The mods and admin needs to so something to make this a level playing field and to avoid new members getting sucked into something that they will regret.
Being one of the pioneers in the e-cigarette industry, we know for a fact that many of these on and off advertisements are fakes and scams (this is common in China). Many of them are even selling knockoff versions of our products but there is nothing much we can do about it.
We love this forum and hope that it will continue to flourish and prosper! |

You will find the full spectrum of vapers here, from the know it all expert (ah-hmm) to the smoker looking for a way out. Just have to be at the right place at the right time. I take it you are primarily a 401 guy? Bet you even get them with a discount Anyway, keep up what you are doing here, but remember it a small, close knit crowd.
Good luck,
Rocket

Good luck,
Rocket | Please do not take this as advertising. Just to clarify that we are the original manufacturer of all Mseries e-cigarettes + the Absolute MaxX. Not just another 401 guy.
Thanks for the encouragement. We will continue to do our best to serve all vapers out there. |

Ever since we established Absolutelyecigs.com, our motto has been to bridge the language barrier between our English speaking customers and Smoore. We know for a fact that foreigners are sick and tired of communicating in "Chinglish" with Chinese suppliers.
So there you go. Thanks for the compliments though. |

So there you go. Thanks for the compliments though. | I like the Chinglish and think it's cute! Always give me a good chuckle. Besides....Most Chinese speak better English then I do Chinese.
Actually they speak better English then a lot of Americans I hear. But I live in the south and we tend to have a lazy way of talking.
Fixin' to go round yonder and have me a vape y'all.

| I do not agree they are Chinglish sometimes, it is a shame to see some famous places like "Chibi" was translated into "red cliff".
I did see many American who made spelling or grammer mistakes, even on this forum. We are born to be equal, god allows every one to make mistakes. Why should we call it Chinglish, then if American make mistakes, what we call it?
Every one is welcome to learn some Chinese. It is a language widely spoken by 1.3 billion, and more. xiexie |

I believe you are Chinese too but if you do not wish to be frowned upon with your English, you should perhaps polish up a little bit.
Your post quoted above is a perfect example of Chinglish. While it should be perfectly understood by many, it is full of grammatical errors. Learn to properly use your past tenses and before accusing others of making grammatical mistakes, learn how to spell the word "Grammar".
I rest my case! |
