Through that whole debacle, the guy was right about so many things but, discredited himself eventually by being so defensive and unwavering. I think it is safe to say, that is just what happens over there, always having to keep your guard up on every post. SAD.. So much good info cuddled up with all that BS.

The very first time I attempted to clean a carto (non clearo) I did exactly what the OP did. Albeit, not over the sink.. outside. It worked great for cleaning out all the crude. After I got to the fourth or fifth carto I got a little overzealous with the compressed air and swoosh.. like MIGHTY MOUSE!.. up up and away one of my cartos guts went flying away never to be seen again. I stood there with the shell of the carto in one hand the air chuck in the other with this stunned look on my face and the started to LMAO. Grabbed another carto and proceeded with a tad more caution. Now of important note. I DO use a water/oil separator I made. MOST compressors, especially down here where I live should have one attached. They are to cheap, and the have the added bonus of extending the life of all your tools.

After I syringe clean my carto with hot water, I shake it out and do the same thing with PGA, then I stick it between the grating on a stand-up fan in the living room for about 30 minutes and it's completely dry...no worries about any contamination

since my syringe is threaded, i dont need to use no compressor, altho i would if mine were working, lol, one has a bad set of overloads, and the other i just rebuilt but not using yet, since i work in the basement and there only for small tire refilling lol...

But like i was saying i just pump the syringe since it is sealed on the carto and dry it out, no more then 20 pumps on a xl dual coil, befor its bone dry..

Btw if any one wants me to make the carto cleaners for what yall think is fair and shipping.. ill do it lol.. i can make ten at the moment, but i would rather help yall make em lol does that make sence??

I saw it but could not tell how to make it. Does it really make em totally dry? If you still think it's a preferred method. Would you put up a brief how-to please? I wish we had a little more organized How-To, DIY section. Not that I am organized or anything! :P

Well wet wire, buy a 510 connector, a 20 mill syringe, and some regular 5 min set epoxy, i use loc tite..

Grind the tabs of the 510 connector flush, and cut a the tip of the syringe off, and ream the hole till the connector fits, then fill in side of the syringe, you can use the plunger to push the epoxy off of the walls, and it wont set to the rubber.. a lil trial and error of course, but its literally that simple.. I dont know if it is better but it is easyer imho, cause no power but yours is used..
