Hey hagstrom. No, have never tried one and just now starting to learn about them. Would like to try one. Waiting on a report from berger about it before I dive in and I'm also waiting for the one that will work with the lr cartos. The Infinity is really nice. How much are those new babies gonna cost?

Cool , Berger is doing a Beta test on the Infinity Pro very soon ( as soon as It gets to him I am sure LOL )
I will PM you the price , I did not really want this to be a suppliers thread and advertising ! I am interested in peoples experiences however .

I understand and how thoughtful of you. I hope to try one soon. I'm glad he is testing that one because that is the one I am looking at getting. Thanks for all your help and patience explaining.

I tried one of the little atty-sized tubes with a variable resister in it (forget the name). The one with a screwhead inside a hole in the side, you use a tiny screwdriver to adjust it. My uneducated opinion:

1) messing with the screw didn't seem to do much.
2) tiny screw + tiny screwdriver = big pain in the caboose
3) I don't get the obsession with measuring stuff... Just give me a big knob, so I can turn it this way if it's too hot, that way if it's too cool (something like 3 turns, not 12!). Attys change a bit over time anyway.
4) this may not make sense, but I feel like I'm "wasting" my battery potential with a resister, all that wasted vaping power, when a Pulse Width Modulator is like 90+% efficient.

The little tube resister is in a drawer somewhere, I think. I've learned how to make 6V work for me by reducing the length of time I press the button. I'm hoping to get the time at home to play around with VV mod-building in the next few months.

That was the terminator we made back when , you need to turn it several times to get real voltage changes , #3 agreed and we have made changes to our designs to address this .
#4 it is a linear regulator NOT a resistor , not as efficient as a PWM one but there is NO WAY a pwm will fit in that tube !

TRy it again turn the pot all the way to the right 12 turns then turn it down from there in 2 turn increments.

Anyhow Berger is going to Beta test the Infinity Pro and this addresses all of your concerns IMO .

I have tried VV and I love an easy to adjust VV E-Cig, the main reason that I love the VV E-Cig is because no matter what comes along in the Cartomizer/Atomizer line you can adjust your current ECig to fit the power it needs without having to spend a boatload of money on a new Unit just to take advantage of current technology in the delivery systems.

Just my Humble opinion though.

I used to be, until I lost the use of my left pinky when I was 17. Now I simply support my Country in the U.S. Navy and I am happy as a clam in sand. The new Units look great from the few pictures I have seen of them.

Yeah Mine was an accident at work with a high pressure cleaning system, it sent a cylindrical bearing through the tip of my pinky leaving only about 20% of the bone in tact. Luckily the orthopedic surgeon was able to save the fingertip, but it is grossly disfigured and will break under any kind of pressure really, I have broken the tip repeatedly even typing.

It's okay, just like any other handicap, I have learned to overcome it Granted the last time I picked up a Six String at my friends house he immediately went to the freezer to eat a Popsicle so he could splint the finger after I broke it LOL. He said it was a preemptive strike for what he knew was coming.

He was right
