| OK, VaprLife website now offers 4 different color DVM's on the Diamante.
Red, Green, Blue, and yellow
Refresh rate is 200 Milli seconds, not the every 3 seconds like the original, so no more waiting to see the reading.
Check it out!!!!! |

| I had the fortune of getting my hot little hands wrapped around this VV unit recently and I need to say the pics dont really do it justice...from the pewter color (I like to think gun metal gray) with the stainless steel dvm section it projects an all business sports car utilitarian purpose built feel to it...From the cool blue instant continuous read actual loaded volts read out, the positive click no accidents stainless ball button, its very smartly placed "actually functional" venting slots to the all metal heavy knurled end cap. The more I use it the more I see its a well thought out and "vaping first" engineered device..no cutesy gimmicks..forget the extraneous styling...make it work..and work really well...while not forsaking safety...its like the appreciation of a classic design that does the job superbly... to me there's a real beauty to its "purpose first" implementation....from the very low voltage drops..to the frying the crap outta my LR carto while i attempted to figure out the voltage adjustment interface the first time out...this PV is all about performance..
The more i use it.. the more I appreciate its function.. and form.
Well Done Vaprlife..very well done

| Looks very nice. I can think of a few devices that this will put to shame for the same price if it preforms as stated. |

I just think it is cool looking and would be a better back up to my spitfire(s) then what I currently have. |

| Not really.. but shes in the stratosphere. ..it auto safeties back to maximum amperage but it does display the actual loaded voltage..not just some bs setting it wont achieve
for example.. a 1.8 ohm (set to six V) delivers 5.5 V loaded on the display

| 3 month follow up..
Ive been really happy with this unit..been rock solid with no issues what so ever as a daily main use device...
that said however..there are two minor improvements Id suggest
1 is the digital pot buttons seem backwards intuitively..ie volts adjustment down is on the right and up is on the left..this is opposite of most everything else in the world with a dial on it...not a big issue just a simple improvement suggestion
2 is it would be nice if there was an on off for the volt led meter...the blue one is pretty bright and it just would be nice if i had the option to turn it off if i wanted to be a little less conspicuous
other then these nit picks, I have had no functional problems with it at all and get compliments and questions about it all the time..many people have asked where did i get that sonic screwdriver at?...LOL
all in all i would not hesitate to recommend this unit as rock solid with no bs issues at all, sure its more expensive then some cheap units out there..but in the end you really do get what you paid for in build quality

| Its not a painted finish..the colored parts are annodized so I wouldnt hold your breath.
The finish does seem to hold up very well even where Ive nicked it when its been dropped a few times..

We're discussing will it give me a better hit (truly better) than the LT or my rocket mod. Since you have and use one... What say you?

| Mine has worked perfectly everyday for over 6 months..it actually handles up to 3 amps loaded..it only displays actual loaded volts so theres no misinformation games going on like your LT...the connector center pin works without f'n with it and even bad leaks havent bothered it...Ive dropped it out of my pocket numerous times and it just keeps on ticking...it may not be the worlds prettiest PV but its built like a rock..Id buy another one in a heart beat if I needed another one..which i seriously doubt will be anytime soon

The part I don't like is that they only ship on Mondays... And not today, of course.

It, at this point, is taking the place of all my other devices. I'm loving it. I've been lucky enough to try the spitfire, and the diamante is close... Very very close. (So far) give me a month with it and I'll update this. Hoping i can have an iris head for my persei by then to compare. (hurry up W9.... Hint hint)
The only thing I don't like is that they only ship once a week. Think about that. If someone sees it on Tuesday and wants to order, they might say "hmm, I'll think on it and order it Saturday or so." (I did just that for a month) That gives someone 5 (or more) days to mull it over and change their mind. Not a good strategy on the vendor's part.

Reason: oh yea, they don't send a manual with it.

| Two things anybody getting one should know about it is
1) in order to hold the voltage setting you have to adjust the volts and then hold the fire button for about 5 seconds..then it will hold that voltage setting even if the batteries are removed for replacement..its easiest to loosen the carto when doing this
2) the bottom cap has to be fully screwed on completely to complete contact...the threads are anodized so even a fraction of a turn loose it will not fire...if it doesnt fire check the bottom cap...otherwise the batts are dead
other then this 5 second learning curve its totally boring..everything works exactly like it should with no issues ever...its a rock you never have to think about

Up on top, down on bottom.
