As for soaked atty yup use dry one. Take flooded one rinse under hot tap watter, let air dry. Also for cleaning stuff some will recommend "canned air", for this I use a small one liter garden sprayer I got at dollar store. Cheaper than canned air, reusable, and can adjust pressure by how much you pump it up. Just makesure you mark it "dry use only"

Works for cleaning cartos, tanks, & attys too. Dries quick.
edit- wait, the question was storage.. not cleaning.
I've only used the eGo C type tanks & I usually just lay them on their side if I don't finish it off. They're so darn small it seems like any vaping at all puts the level down far enough sideways is ok. I've also just put a cartridge/carto 'condom' on the end.
Tanks.. you're probably talking about none of the above type either... I'm leaving now. As you were.

| You can get silicone rubber tank caps and just keep some that don't get punctured, when you need to swap flavours or whatever just use one of those and you could even stick it in your pocket.
It's also best not to leave them standing upright, this helps them get floody/leaky.
In time you'll get good at rolling up the corner of a napkin to clean the atty connector on your battery ;-) |

I use several polypropylene Smoktech DCT tanks of 3.5 and 6 ml size on my Silver Bullet and BB. I've never had any issues of any of them leaking (unlike the polycarbonate variety). Each one has its own Cherry Vape or Trippy Tip drip tips to help me recognize the juice each contains. I found the above pictured organizer/carrier in a Hobby Lobby store. It contained mini sewing tools. It has 8 elastic bands to secure each tank, case is semi-rigid and has a zipper opening.

BTW, where did you find the DCTs in polypropylene? I just started using tanks recently, but only have the polycarb which makes certain flavors a no-go. I tried looking around, but a lot of vendors neglect to state what material the tank is made of. (pyrex isn't in the budget right now and it seems they are shorties anyway). |

More vendors are beginning to supply polypropylene tanks, probably because of certain juices causeing polycarbonate to melt or leach chemicals into the juice. I find they are structurally stronger than polycarb. Only thumbs down is the plastic is frosted/opaque (still can see juice levels) as opposed to clear for the polycarb.
I found my polypropylene tanks from My Vapor Store and PB Dragon. Same tanks, different kits, different prices. Clear frosted or frosted colors in 3.5 or 6 ml sizes. Be advised that the tinted tank colors in reality are not as bright as the pics.
I just found a new vendor who is offering nice homemade pyrex glass tanks pretty cheap. These are sort of prototypes, and are a little rough aesthetically. Clear and frosted glass. Offers 5 and 7 ml size tanks for sale price of $12! He designed the silicone gommets himself. I have 2 of the 7 ml size on the way, I'll update after a trial. Valley View Vapes VVV pyrex tanks.

I've worked in labs where we used both, and we always found polypropylene to have more of a leaching problem than polycarbonate. However, based on the PV products I've seen and my experience with long-chain polymers, I'd guess what the vendors are selling you with the clear tubes is not polycarbonate, which is darned near unbreakable (It's what they make safety glasses out of), but polyethylene terephthalate (what they make Peanut Butter Jars out of), which cracks much easier. The clear vaping products I've gotten crack way too easy to be polycarbonate.

| Atty tanks?
In the trash can. They're known for being... not good? I believe that's the general consensus.
Just drip or use some Boge cartomizers, man. Get yourself a good carto tank and vape like a freight train. |

Just popular beliefs expressed by a lot of vapors that have experience with tanks and clearo's that used polycarbonate. Cinamon, citrus, and acidic flavors are known to melt polycarb, and many users have noted their juices to become cloudy and taste yucky after being in a polycarb container. Is it really polycarbonate? Who knows, but that's what the manufacturers/distributors call it. It may be acrylic, but I don't know what that is either.
All I know is I believe polypropyline to be a better material than polycarb. It's what medical syringes are made of, so it must be safer.
Stainless steel tanks are somewhat popular and probably safe to use with all juices, but the user can not readily see his fluid levels.
Glass or pyrex is undoubtedly the superior material, but its much higher cost likely will prohibit it from becoming the most commonly used material in the vast majority of devices. |

You can't just slide the carto down to fill, you have to force a needle between the grommet and the tank.
This is the real deal but quite pricy.
This guy makes some nice inexpensive glass (Clear Borosilicate, Pyrex) tanks with 'official' SS caps.
About $28 shipped.
Lotsa options too, the site is weird to navigate, lotsa scrolling. http://ibtanked.com/index.html
