That's correct 4.25 max volt per batt for Lithium Ion. Most chargers cut off around 4.2 so 8.4 combined is right (assuming series not parallel).

Well I have no idea what you mean by four, but I just load tested a pair of freshly charged blue TF14500 with a 2Ω load.

Unloaded = 8.42V

Under Load = 6.41V, 10 seconds later 6.17V.

I have some cute cute 1AA flashlights that are 4" long (wish I could find more in black). I've been considering a 14650 mod. Those at least should give me about 700 true mAh and about 900 if I choose to go with unprotected Japanese Li-Ions. I'll also make them eGo atty compatible.

I made one with an AW 14650 and it holds up pretty well.

I'm sorry, I didn't accurately describe that. I have four of them, but use two at a time on my VMU. When I flip the magical little switch in the back the screen reads, "8.4". I guess "unloaded" was the term I was meaning to use. Still getting the hang of all this electrical jargon.
