I'm still contemplating sticking a connector on my Android phone. It's got a beefy 3.7V 1600mAh in there... puff puff, ring ring.

Oh yea ... That would be a hot flea market item. In fact, I bet it would sell like crazy in China town there.

I had many vendors want to look over my flashlight mod when we were there.
It's a wonder they aren't selling those now on the corners.

I can hear it now "You want louis vuitton e-cig?" when you come up from the subway

Got bored, so I dug out my plating supplies.
The Gold had settled out and doesn't look like it will go back into solution, darn.

But the Nickel is fine. THis stuff is about 6 years old, at least.

So here's the copper with the Nickel.

Here is one way to mount a "Good Switch" in a copper pipe mod.
It does require some metal working but not beyond the capabilities of an experienced modder.

The switch will be epoxied in place later.

Remember, this is a Rocket Secret, shhhh.
Wow please let me know how to make a switch like that. Looks great and I love copper mods.

LOL.. The first thing that crossed my mind was you were making a joke about it looking like a DIY WiFi antenna... THEN the doh! Interesting build.

Ok It is killing me. What was the round brass part originally. It looks really familiar. Does it have like a 10/32 thread internally?

Round brass part is a knurled nut on a brass screw 10/32 with a spring on the outside on the screw and everything stuffed in a cut down brass tube from an old trumpet. The antenna looking thing is a part out of an old car charger that didn't work, the contact part. That sits on two 20mm syringe plungers epoxied to the inside of the bottom cap for isolation and support. The positive is a brass nail in a water bottle lid that isolates and holds it in place to have the point of the nail inside the positive atty connection and the head of the nail, which is round and smooth, touching the positive end of the battery. Very simple yet hits like a mule. No wire and no solder in this one completely mechanical. Wireless!

Interesting.

I don't know if you planned it, but it also looks there will be a 'wiping' action to help with the oxides that form on most mechanicals that simply butt two unyielding chunks of metal together.
