Starbucks bans E-cigs company wide

Just got told yesterday by "my" Starbucks manager that the head office put out a letter affirming the smoking ban in all stores and adding electronic cigarettes.
I already wrote a very polite message on the corporate website telling them they ought to pull their head out but the local people were sad about running me outside to vape.
Feel free to let them know how you feel about the ban.

That is interesting bikes. I just went to Starbucks yesterday and had to pass by a man smoking outside at one of their tables. I don't usually get sick from cig smoke but did this time. Was actually told I was turning green and felt like puking. After getting inside I felt better but the mgr told the fellow he couldn't smoke outside the store. So, I am all for the banning of cig smoke at their establishment but very sad to hear PVs are included. I will also send them a message through their site. Thanks for letting us know.

well i dont use e cigs any more, i use a box or flashlight, that happens to have a similar fitting, <snickers> and i hold the vape in till its clear, cant stop that... cause its no more then a inhailer at that point...

I think a little differently. If you are away from people and outside, you should be able to vape, puke, smoke, fart, and do whatever else you wanna do beside touch people, curse, or show your parts. This is supposed to be a free country!!!!!

Some residents in Amherst, MA (Amherst College, Univ. of Massachusetts) are "furious" that the US flag has remained up after Labor Day. They consider the US flag a symbol of racism, imperialism, and evil, and have demanded that it be taken down. The matter has reached the selectmen and town manager for action.

In AMherst you can only fly the American flag 7 days before or after a holiday. An Amherst College bimb...er, "professor" argued that the American flag is "a symbol of oppression around the world", and the town council agreed.

Some people need to get a life!!! As much smog as this world produces, why such great concern over smoking outside and away from everybody? As for the American flag, you need to move here! We have American flags, Misssissippi flags, and Confederate flags flying everywhere.

What do you expect in left turn Mass. Truth is that self-righteous zealots, both left and right are making everyone's life intolerable. Went to the Nike campus in Oregon several years ago. All smoking had been banned on campus. Any employee seen smoking off campus by another employee was required to be reported. That reported employee had to enter a company smoking cessation program or they would be terminated. Ok to have sweatshops overseas, but we must maintain our purity here.

Political Correctness is running amok. You can't smoke if you work for Scott's (the lawncare people) AT ALL!

I love it. Professional lawn care. And nicotine one of the best weed killers. My town, Philadelphia tried to impose a soda tax, but the time was not ripe. Amazing that no government entity has banned cigarettes, just the humans using them. Only their tax dollars are acceptable. The same with soda machines in schools. I shudder to think what might happen if someone came around telling me I had to take down the American flag from my garage.

They tried to get it applied to households, but the Town Council only applied it to town offices and some businesses.

When I was at the PD (for WORK reasons!!!!) I asked then why they were flying the flag, and there wasn't a holiday in site, and my contact there said, "Let them try to stop us..."

There was a group a couple of years ago that was lobbying to make houses on Nantucket affordable, and were taking donations because the locals couldn't afford to live there anymore!
