Special Report: Electronic Cigarette Part II
WENY-TV, NY - Katherine Underwood
The e-cigarette is banned in Canada, but here in the United States, there aren't any restrictions on selling it or even using it. WENY-TV News set up a hidden camera at Holmes Plate in Corning to find out if that's really the case. ...

The initial cost of buying an ecig starter kit is nothing compared to the cost of buying cartons of analogs month after month.

I have figured out that since I now have all the neccessities(sp) to vape, it will actually cost me about $2 a day, whereas when I smoked analogs, I was spending $3.40 a day.

I bought anologs for $17 a carton by mail. People who buy them at the local stores pay $40 to $50 a carton and so wouild save even more buy investing in a starter kit, a few extra batteries and some chargers.

As far as how I look to other people when I'm vaping? I couldn't care less!

Since we are being forced into becoming a socialist nation like our neighbors to the north (Canada) I've got this awful feeling that they will be banned here just like they have been there. I just hope our e-cigs and supplies don't become like guns and ammo have. The gun dealers have raised the prices on all guns and ammo and people are buying them like they are going out of style (perhaps they are). I suggest stocking up on everything. Put juice in the fridge. Something else that concerns me is since the government knows we like e-cigs they see a great opportunity for something else they can tax and believe me they will sooner or later. Look at what they've done to our analogs. And it's all because they care about the health of our children..........YEAH RIGHT, they care about nothing but their own power and greed. Hey I'm sorry to blow off so much steam but at least I know the people here understand. Speaking of blowing off steam LOL!!!

The Gov is going to turn an otherwise honest bunch of people into criminals!

I will keep ordering untill my package is confiscated or I get arrested. I figure since it will be a first offense I'll probably get probation, and maybe even get it plea bargained down to a misdemeaner.

I AIN'T QUTTIN'!

I know of the "dangers" of nicotine poisoning, though I have been a smoker for almost 7 years, and I know my limit and when to stop smoking. Other than that, are there any other negative health effects that can happen through using an electronic cigarette?

The taxes on a pack of cigarettes brings in billions of dollars a year. I believe that is the one and only reason they will not allow them in Canada.

The safety of the consumer is the last thing on their minds when they are banning them in our "socialist" country.

There are many ppl who are using them, myself included. It just takes a bit longer for them to ship, thats all.....any suggestions here in Canada would be great.

I love vaping and would never go back to "real" cigarettes.....good work...love the forum.

Absolutely. I'm waiting for a BS tax to be placed on ecigs as well.

Thank God people are now waking up though, it makes me hopeful for the future. With people awake they can bestow the usual crap on us while the citizens are fast asleep.

The thing that gets me about the cig tax here in the US is it is supposed to offset the medical costs of smoking. But I work in health care and the costs of caring for diabetics and obese patients is far more then a smoker. Why pick on cigs? The tax should be on the junk food. Or quit giving the substities to companies who make high fructose corn syrup and other products that cause diabeties and obesity. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that obesity shot up after the 70s exactly when manufactures started using it in food products....Sorry totally off topic.
