I think they should tap the US oil, but not sell it. Just keep it for the military. In times of real war, it will become "he who has the oil/fuel wins".

I've told you guys before, it's not a political thing, it's a limited supply and increasing demand thing. But don't take my word:
Peak oil - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Politically, governments can temporarily lower gas prices by releasing reserves, or subsidizing consumer costs; they can raise prices by taxing, or insisting that oil come from higher priced sources (e.g. if the US said it would only use US produced oil), but they can't affect the base price, and that is going to keep trending up, even it there are temporary declines.

You are correct, Sir. I think that we have to think strategically for times of war. With China and India growing like they are, it will get to $5/gallon at some point. Here in the USA, we have been spoiled with low gas prices. Some think it's a sort of entitlement. Watch what happens to electricity prices when people do start driving electric cars, especially with limited Nuke Plants and so many restrictions on coal. Then natural gas will skyrocket becuase of increased natural gas powered electrical generation. Energy isn't free, and we all want an infinite, cheap supply.

Where did you live near Fenton?

The military is thinking strategically, in that they are planning on how to deploy and fight our forces without reliance on petroleum at all. The Air Force has developed a fully renewable biofuel that they have been testing, successfully, with fighter jets, and the Army is working on biodiesel/electric hybrid tanks & APV's. Haven't seen any green research out of the Navy, but if the Army & the Air Force are working on it, you know the navy is . . .

Once I looked around, I found 9 different projects where the Navy is investing in green alternatives:

Have you seen the latest profit numbers? The oil company profits are up 45% from last year. The oil industries combined PROFITS come out to $390 million a DAY. And remember this is an industry that we subsidize to the tune of about $4 billion a year.

Our newly elected Tea Partyites are busy meanwhile passing 'birther' laws and trying to eliminate collective bargaining rights while cutting pay for average folks.

That's basically why we haven't been drilling it...

I don't buy into that, because they told us "peak oil" was reached back in the 70's or 80's. Since then there have been new finds.

I received a kit from sparkplugforsmokers.com the manufacturer,this morning.
The device is an internally threaded aluminum tube capped by a lightly sprung button(the switch ) for the negative end of the battery and a cap with 801 fitment for the positive end.
I like 801 devices and this kit is complete so that after a battery charge you don't have to go elsewhere to be up and running except for the high voltage heroes.(More later)
The kit includes the following:
1-sparkplug(tube,switch cap,atomiser cap)
2-cr123 3.7v batteries(unprotected)
1-battery charger for the short LiIon batteries
1-801 standard voltage atomiser
5-801 prefilled cartridges Marl 24mg
1-10ml bottle of juice(Random)
and(this is later)
1-long tube body for High Voltage use **Do not use the provided batteries as unprotected batteries should never be stacked**
There is a users manual for the spark plug and when used with long tube the model designation becomes: the Thermo. A thermo users guide is also provided.
All of the above for a measly $30 + reasonable S&H (I got 2 kits to my house for <$65)
I'm enjoying mine while reviewing and am very pleased. The bottom button is very easily activated which is important to me due to arthritis. Nevertheless; the sparkplug will stand upright on your table or desk without turning the atty on.
Lots of vapor:5*s
Great flavor: flavor is usually very good on 801s;5*s
Throat hit is medium:3+*s good enough for the girls I run with and typical for an 801. (madvapes carries 801 cartomisers) the store at sparkplug does carry 801>510 and 901 adapters.
Value: 5-Ka Chings If you don't think that is money well spent go to the mall.
Overall: 2 thumbs up(unlike some of you folks I only have two thumbs)
There are replacement parts available and the manufacturer is a member here and a pleasure to deal with.
Check it out.
I went to the website and didn't see the great color options shown here, how can I get one of these?

Mg, the current model offered is a new version, I have a couple of the previous model.
I really don't know much about the new ones but I don't use mine much. James the owner will answer his email if you contact him on the site with a question. The wraps on the old model are not listed but they are heat shrink and they may be able to apply a shelf stock item for you. No harm asking.

Avoid this PV.

I have the previous one. The switch is poorly designed and finicky. It comes with unprotected batteries, which doesn't really bother me, but my protected ones are too long. Threads end up showing.
