So I decided to try out the 2 week free trial through Smoking Everywhere in September. It just didn't do it for me so I decided to send it back a few days later. The day before I sent it back I called Smoking Everywhere and told them I wanted to cancel my free trial and asked how to go about doing that. They said by sending it back is how I cancel it. So I sent it back the next day and thought it was canceled and done with. And that was the beginning of October. Then at the end of November I discovered a $17.84 charge from smoking everywhere on my bank statement. Confused.. I called them to ask what was up. I got a snotty customer service rep that told me I never canceled my account. Whatever. I sent it back. Aka I cancelled it. So that was Dec. 1st and she said she would work on getting me a refund and then she "officially" cancelled my account. And she told me that within 48 hours I should hear back from someone regarding my refund. Never heard back from anyone. Called her back shortly after..she never returned my phone call. Then I called back a couple weeks later and explained my situation to someone else. He just said "I'm sure someone will contact you within the next 48 hours." nobody did. Then today Jan. 11, I received a 2nd refill package and they once again charged me $17.84 for the refill, even tho my account is OFFICIALLY canceled now. WTF. So I called and talked to a different customer service guy today and he said to send back the 2 refill cartridges they sent me...which I've never even opened and write my case # on the package and they should refund my money then. But then he said they probably wouldn't refund the first charge from November because my account wasn't cancelled until dec. 1st even tho I sent it back 2 months before that. And odds are I'll pay to send back these 2 packages and I probably won't hear back from them regarding either of my refunds. And I'll call again and they'll just play stupid like they have been. Ugh..,really regret ever doing business with them. But hey if ur happy with their product u won't ever have to deal with their shitty customer service when it comes to returns. But if you aren't then watch out it's a pain in the ass and they just give you the run around. Just a heads up.

I've heard people suggesting contacting the Better Business Bureau, and indicating such to the sales representative working to get charges reversed.

I just wonder if unsolicited (you canceled) mailing and subsequent credit card charges would fall under "mail fraud". That's federal jurisdiction, right? Maybe the sales rep could advise you on which organization to contact to report it? Sure wish this forum had it's own lawyer, but I guess that takes a lot of schooling
