Another point to make, which I have seen in countless other reports, is that they take quitting cigarettes to mean quitting nicotine.

But MacKenzie said the devices are "counterproductive" for those looking to quit cigarettes because they still deliver the addictive substance while reinforcing the physical action of smoking. "It doesn't really deal with the habit part of the equation."

What they don't understand is when an e-smoker says that ecigs help them quit, it just means tobacco. I (personally) have stopped "smoking" with the help of ecigs. That doesn't mean I have stopped nicotine. Those dumb asses just never get it right. They always try to label these as quit smoking devices, when it should be "alternative" smoking device. And "smoking" is always going to be linked to tobacco. These people being interviewed need to be more atomant about not referring ecigs to "smoking". It all boils down to the lack of research these jackass reports do before writing their stories. If they would just do a quick google for 'electronic cigarette forum' they would be amazed at the knowledge they would gain from them.
