Although often ignored there is a lot to be said for the Nivel assembly, especially for inexperienced modders. It's 15W/3.5A which should be more than enough for most.
- Wires included, and pre-soldered, only need a fire button.
- The one button interface means easy placement, avoiding many layout problems.
- No flimsy ribbon cable to break when mounting
- A mature assembly that has gone through revisions/enhancements and improvements.
Many folks have broken the DNA's display and and others have bungled soldering the thick wires to it. Plus it's a bit of a pain to get it aligned/centered right. It's also a 3 step process, mount the display then mount the assembly. Then you need 4 more wires and 2 more buttons plus
figure out were to squeeze them in.
Yes it's about $20 more, but the time saved for installation (and the elimination of the additional costs involved to get the DNA 'ready') should easily compensate unless you value your labor at ZERO.
