| I agree rocket the man that was using it last night was using an 18490 battery in an 18650 mod. I think that was the type of battery he said. I know he said it was just shorter than an 18650.
They are being major tight lipped about it during the beta testing but as I find out more ya know I will let you guys know.
Did your package come today, Rocket?? |

Well I don't know if you will get any use out of those regulators, but I am sure you will get more use out them than I ever will. Same as the lanyard!! |

| Seems that everyone has received their MiniMods.
But, I have received a couple of PMs about charging these using the rubber bands.
I mentioned this earlier in the thread but I'll cover it again.
The charge mosfet in the eGo that everyone has gotten used to automatically turns on when you hook up the charger (red LED on the charger). If this part fails, you can no longer charge the eGo. Doesn't happen often, but does happen.
So, the MiniMod does not have this possible failure mode. No Mosfets.
In order to charge you must come up with a method to HOLD the switch down.
The Rubber bands will do it. Just watch for the charger LED to turn RED indicating the mod is taking on a charge. When complete, the LED will turn green. Pretty much like you are used to.
One other thing you may notice is that it takes a while to charge a 2600mah with an eGo charger. Much longer than charging a 900mah eGo

If you plan your vaping day and charging night you really won't be leaving it on charge longer than necessary.
Did that makes any sense? Maybe not.
The mod has an overcharge cutoff inside (about 4.3 volts) just in case the charger doesn't cut off at about 4.2 volts. That would take 2 failures to cause an over charge problem, but even that could happen. As always, I recommend anyone with a mod to have a cheap meter to monitor performance and aging.
Over night should not be a problem, I do it. Several days on the charger just wouldn't be prudent.
and if you end up in a hurry, the last little bit on the charger, just before the LED turns green., doesn't really add that much charge.
Another place having a meter would be handy. anything over 4.15 is almost full charge.
Short answer: over night OK

| Put it on the charger and press the button to test.
The LED needs to go red or it's not charging.
If it doesn't let me know, there is a problem.

If it doesn't let me know, there is a problem. | Took 3 rubber bands to make my button stay pressed.

| I take a thin one and make 5 wraps.
A penny over the button helps.
