hallo to everybody, i'm from italy, and i'd like your opinion. it's a month more or less that i have stopped smoking analogic cigarettes. with ecig i'm vaping not a great amount of nicotine, just 2 ml of 15mg/ml liquid a day. but i'm having some little problems. i'm a little anxious, feeling like i had a weight on the chest, mainly during evening. i thought to have more breath doing sports but it's not, i'm breathless and feel palpitation.
do you have the same problems? or others?
thank you a lot for your answers and please write an easy english because i studied just at school!!

It sounds to me like you are experiencing nicotine symptoms the hard part is to figure out if it's withdrawal from too little or a slight overdose from too much. By the symptoms listed I tend to lean towards slight OD. Nicotine causes increased heart rate, and sleeplessness and anxiety and I believe these can also be symptoms of withdrawal as well especially the anxiety which I imagine is to be expected with any change in lifestyle like this. I think the best thing you can do is consult with your doctor about this. Nicotine is a poison and used improperly can cause death in small amounts, I think this is probably the biggest hurdle the E-Cig industry is going to face to be honest with you.

I can see the headlines now of some idiot who probably was just barely smart enough to make a child but not smart enough to raise it leaving their juices lying around for a few minutes while they are distracted elsewhere and a kid swallowing the tasty smelling vanilla juice and dying from nicotine overdose. That will be the beginning of the end I tell you that now. Once some idiot puts himself or someone else in the morgue or hospital the drums will start beating and the naysayers will be lined up for miles with signs saying they told you so! Keep this in mind when you make your juices or fill your carts, nicotine is a toxic poison and you must treat it as such. You would not leave a big bottle of acid lying out for your child or pet to drink or play with, give nicotine the same respect that you would acid. Don't give these assholes any more reason to deny us our rights to E-Cigs.

yanez,
It hard for anyone to give out medical advise to someone. No one knows your body like you do. These symptoms may or may not be related to vaping. If these symptoms trouble you and you have not had them before it is always best to check with your doctor just to make sure everything is okay. It maybe just a coincidence that these symptoms came on the same time you started vaping. It may be something you had before vaping and vaping just brought these symptoms to be realized now. I have not had any of the feelings you describe and I have been vaping for 7 months.

It may not be because of e-cig.
Stop e-cigs for a week or two.
Try the patch or gum, just for a couple of weeks.
You might be having an Anaphylaxis Allergic Reaction to the Propylene Glycol in the juice.
Anxiousness, the feeling of weight of your chest, breathlessness, palpitations are not little problems. You need to figure out what is going on.

If you have existing medical conditions, talk to your doctor about vaping.
If you have new symptoms when vaping, talk to your doctor about vaping.

Looks like we got plenty of response: go to the doctor.

Oh and don't vape yourself into a coma while waiting for an appointment,
or is that only a U.S. thing?

thanks dear vapers. being a little in trouble i had a check-up resulted good. i started having problems just when i finished liquid so i started vaping only PG without nicotine. now it's going better but i'm sure i've to be very careful of how much nicotine i smoke (and where to keep liquid). sailing the web i have found discussions about several symptoms connected with stop smoking and they are what i felt. probably for me is also hard to control with attemption how much liquid i put in the cartridge. is it 4 you? vaping is amazing and enjoying but it's necessary to be always under control. THANKS.

If you're feeling any of the following, then it's very normal:
* Craving for cigarettes
* Coughing
* Anxiety
* Irritability
* Restlessness
* Insomnia
* Mood changes
* Nervousness
* Headaches

While quitting smoking, much you need is your willingness...

I guess my transition from analogs to e-cigs was pretty smooth. As long as I had Juice and a hand full of charged batteries the only symptoms I had were a sore throat from vaping the PG based juice. I guess that is because I wasn't withdrawing from nicotine. I was still getting all my body craved. I have cut down from 36mg/ml to 24mg/ml and now to about 16 to 18mg/ml. This slow reduction is probably why. The swamp lady wants me to make up 12mg/ml for her next batch. I don't think I'm ready for that yet.

I've been vaping a month now and notice 2 main side effects. One is a sore throat in the mornings. Its been getting less the last few days. The other is that its easier to take in more nicotine than with cigarettes as I pull on it harder without getting the heavier tar etc. so starting off I got a bit dizzy sometimes. Otherwise I notice a few funny pains occasionally, my eyes seem clearer as if a film over them is disappearing and breathing is getting better. And perhaps the worst is that I can smell things I'd come to believe didn't smell.
