Here is a quick way to make the Lipton pyramid tea bag modification.

If you haven't tried the tea bag mod, I highly recommend it. You can fit twice as much e-juice in your cart and you get a way better draw with more more air flow. More vapor with less work.

QUESTION: Does the box of tea say it's a pyramid tea bag or am I supposed to just look for the brands he names?

Thanks, Dwell; that is me. No, I'm not wearing eyeliner, but I've been asked that many times in my life. The teabags should say pyramid right on the box. The pyramid tea bags are a different material than regular tea bags. They are made of a silk type fabric. In Canada, I found Lipton Tea bags, but in the US, look for Teatley pyramid tea bags.

The poly fill that comes with the standard 510 is generally cheap crap that wicks poorly and even breaks apart and leaves little strands stuck in your atty. The tea bag also saturates faster, making it faster to re-fill.

There is one other good cart mod I do, and I will post that video now under this topic.

You mention silky teabag and this one seems kind of paper-like, not silky. Plus it doesn't appear to be as translucent as yours does in the video. I'll try this but I think I'll have to go out and buy the same brand you have if it has to be a silky pyramid teabag.

Hey BC... First off congrats on the Olympics! Heck of a hockey game! With that said... Thank you for the video, very well done. I got some Lipton Pyramid Tea Bags, but forgot the teaball for the tea LOL. Have you tried this on a mega 510 cart? I'm guessing use the whole tea bag instead of half to fit right since it's twice as big. I'm using blue foam right now, but it leaves an after taste to me, plus it flows fast at first then gets real slow after the first half is gone. Just not consistant. I'm going to play and if I get it to work on the mega I might try my 901 carts too.

Got Lipton Black Pearl Pyramid Tea Bags 20 for $2.00 on sale last evening. Yes, silky and see through. I've made 2 cartridge fillers and this is SO MUCH BETTER than the funky fuzz! Thanks again

thanks for the props on the winter games, yeah that was one hell of a hockey, but heh; that's our sport after all. 14 gold medals in my hometown was awesome.

As for using a mega cart, I would use the whole tea bag, skipping the stage where you cut the bag in half. Matter of fact, I have seen people use the whole tea bag in a standard cart, and it seems to work fine.

Witch Way, speaking of 510 mega carts, now that I have some TYVM, do you know anyplace east of HONG KONG that has the Attys for these? To keep on topic , when I started vaping I tried all of the cart mods EXCEPT PTB Guess I need to try now, I'm pretty sick of the blue foam at this point.

You are quite welcome Didn't you get a mega atty from china but couldn't get the carts because they were all out? Totally Wicked has them, but they are way high priced. I got my first two from TW. Hubby agrees the ones from TW seem to burn hotter than the ones I got from HealthCabin.

I tried using a full Pyramid Tea Bag in the mega carts and either I'm doing something wrong or it isn't going to work. They hold so much juice that the first third of the cart floods out into the atty shortly after putting the cart on. Same with the straw mod. If you only fill the cart part way it works fine, still wicks a little fast for my tastes, but didn't flood. But what good is it to have the mega cart if you only fill it part way I'm working on a mod specially for the mega carts, but waiting on a part to get here before I know if it's going to work or not. The megas wick ok on their own, unless you are like me and power chain vape. I just want a cart that magically refills itself and is always full and wicks at the perfect speed for me. I'm taking the tips I cut off the pyramid tea bags for the 510 cartridges and putting them into my tiny L88b volcano carts. I'm sooooooooo impressed with this silky material over the fuzzy crap~it's really like night and day and I've doubled the amount of vape time between refills!

Hey Bc, first off i wanted to say thanks so much for the videos, youve brought joy back to using my 510 again. Now im finally getting huge vapor, great throat and intense flavor with the ptb mod. Now just a couple of questions, do you just top off the tbp when it starts losing potency and if so how many drops? Also how many times do you keep topping off before you just replace the screen with a new one? Thanks.

I do top off often, mostly because I don't like that dry taste on my throat you get from a cart that is drying up. My top ups are usually 4-7 drops. I also don't fill up my carts to the max to avoiding any leaking my my nice leather ecig lanyard. If I do fill up to the max, I just take a few big vapes before I store my e-cig at all.

As for replacing the bag, I rarely do. If you pull out the bag and rinse it under a tap as you unroll it, It goes bright white and is as good as new. You can dry it in about 5 seconds by padding it with a folded paper towel. I have only replaced it a couple of times when the edges were starting to frey a bit from where I cut it.

Thanks for the reply, i will use the tips. So far the pyramid teabag method is the only one where i get the most flavor and the big throat hits and ive tried blue foam and fluval and didnt like the taste with either one.

BC...Great tip! I'm a newbie who fell for the Blu but am replacing with a Volcano as I like the small style of these types. Good for work :-) Anyway, I have about 15 empty pre-fill carts from Blu and wanted some tips (if you don't mind that is) on filling them with the PTB method. Should the inner "prefilled" cart come out of the mouthpiece or should that stay in to block from sucking in the juice? Told ya i'm a noob! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Hi there g33k! Welcome.
I own a volcano, model L88b (which I've never found by L88b) which I've heard is exactly the same as the Blu, soooooooo. Use a pin or paperclip and push that little plastic cup up and out of the cartrige. I filled mine with my newly found Lipton pyramid tea bag (it's see-through and silky) and stuck it back in. If you do not put this cuppy thing back in, the juice goes straight through the hole into your mouth.

(I'm going to do a photo tutorial on this method but I'm too tired at the moment.)

This mod works great in the volcano (and I'd suppose Blu) cartridges.

Thanks for the tips Dwell! I probably have about 20 empties laying about to play with so with your info and a little extra time I'll try it out and see what happens. I've been disappointed so far with Volcano's carts (Pineapple is the only that I have tried out of the 10 packs I just ordered) as only a few puffs and it has to sit for about 10 min before I can get another good "hit" I'm hoping that this PTB method will prove more to my liking. Also, for a noob, any good suggestions on juice to fill the modded carts with?

Wellllll, I wish the little super mini batteries lasted longer than they do, but c'est la vie...they don't. I really do like the lightness and smallness and the automaticness of the volcano, especially because I type for a living and can't be stopping to push a button for a puff.

The pyramid tea bag filler helps hold much more liquid and at a better flow rate than the funky fuzz in the cartridges. Any juice that has high enough nicotine will do actually do just fine. Do not over-fill the cartridge and let juice drip into your batteries~it will kill them dead forever. Keep the volcano cartridge facing down so juice drips toward the cart, not the battery. (photos coming w/notebook spiral mod...LoL) This is important in any automatic battery actually~not too juicy!

I've been making my own nicjuice and at the moment, Red Hots flavor from the Perfume Apprentice is my favorite. I'm mixing it up in Kosher vegetable glycerin. I use a high dose nicotine so that I have more control over ingredients like PG and VG and flavoring when cutting it down to around 24-30 mg nicotine. Follow that?
Rocketman suggested getting the best possible ingredients if making your own nicjuice and I have to agree, especially because some other juice gave me stomach issues.

You mentioned the teabag mod worked great for volcano. I was wondering if you put the bag in the whole cartrige or if you still got to use the little plastic piece and mod it with that?
