| I think we need a pro-510 thread dedicated to vapers who prefer the 510 to other models. As we all know (and are constantly reminded of), individuals are unique and everybody has their own individual preferences so sometimes I'd rather not waste time discussing which model is best but focus more on information, tips, experiences, and recommendations specific to the 510. If other members would start a similar thread on their favorite models, we would all probably learn a lot about the individual models instead of contantly trying to convince each other the model we like is the "best". The 510 is the best for me for now so that's the focus of this thread for others who feel the same and want to share some 510-specific insights. This doesn't mean you can't ALSO love your mod or another model.
Sweett4art and Rocketman, how do you like the mega-batts you ordered? I'm guessing you both got the manual ones. Anyone else who is using the mega-batts, please give us your feedback, too. Firhill, aren't you a 510 guy? I think TW is still the only vendor carrying them, aren't they? For me, they seem to charge in a little over 2 hours and last for 9 to 12 hours between charges at the rate I vape, which I think is about a 5 on a 1-10 scale. I always thought I was a heavy smoker (a 10) but I've realized since I switched to vaping that most of my smoking consisted of letting the analog burn while I took only 2 or 3 puffs of it, then lighting another one right away and doing the same thing. So I did less "smoking" than I did "burning". Maybe one reason it was so easy for me to switch to vaping.
I'm using white, rectangular Fluval (aquarium filter material) to replace my cart stuffing and it's working good for me. Really easy to cut and stuff. What do you guys find works good for the 510?
Some people have said the 510 doesn't allow as much juice flavor to come through as other models (stay with me now; I'm not going to talk about other models, just the 510). I've tried LOTS of flavors but don't like any of the tobacco ones; just the fruit or cocktail or sweet ones. My favorites so far were a grape and a peach but I have to figure out where I got them; the vendor only put the flavor on the bottles. The difference must have been the vendor because I got the same flavors from other vendors (who put their mark on the bottles) and they're not as good. I've kept all my shipping slips so I can figure it out. Do you experience a lot of flavor with your 510? I guess it's hard to tell what constitutes a "lot" of flavor since that's totally subjective but which flavors are your favorites and where did you get them?
510 Buying Tips: Firhill said TW has a good sale coming up again early in December; hopefully it's another 30%-er. I noticed Rocky Mountain Vapor has 510 white, purple LED starter kit (w/5 24mg Marlb carts) for $46, free shipping.
Hey, was this a good idea or what??!!!! You guys are still lurking out there somewhere, aren't you?

| Well while not pro 510 I can contribute my thoughts on the model and some tips I picked up when I was using it. I stay as far away from TW as I possibly can, they are overpriced and have heard too many negatives for my taste about them. The people that do like them swear by them, and good for them but I won't deal with them. They aren't the only place to get the Mega battery either, you can get it at The Electronic Cigarette Company (USA) Ltd. I have not ordered from them but they are based in Michigan so is RMV now as well in case you didn't know that. I think RMV has about the cheapest prices around really especially with the free shipping on $14 orders and up which is easy to hit really, it's harder to not spend $14 there than it is to hit the $14 mark for the free shipping. I too have found that Fluval is a great wicking filler material I used it and it is nice to just cut to size and slide in. As for flavor the 510 was never a big one for flavor until I put it on HV mod then it really kicks it in. I know you want to stay away from mod talk but it's using it with your beloved 510 so that's not too bad then.
I find that the batteries are one of the big issues I have with the model. If it wasn't for that and the constant topping or filling of carts it would score higher with me but it is what it is. If given a choice between starting back up on the tobacco cigarettes or grabbing the 510 out of the drawer I most assuredly would grab the 510. I also refuse to call them analog's since that makes no sense at all. We don't call these "digital cigarettes" which would be the proper opposite of 'analog cigarettes". We call them E-Cigs or PV's. Analog denotes constant moving scale while digital is either 1 or 0, on or off. Measuring or representing data by means of one or more physical properties that can express any value along a continuous scale. For example, the position of the hands of a clock is an analog representation of time.
I just read that last bit and I guess I am sounding like a bit of a nitpicker, I guess I just don't care for the term since it really is not the right use of it, oh well I am a big boy I will get over it. |

| Snarky, thanks for the info on the alternative vendor for the 510 mega-battery, use of Fluval, and the increase in flavor that can be achieved with an HV mod; I know that was difficult considering "you can't stand the 510". I'm thinking about trying one of those if I get the house re-financing I applied for.... no, that's not the reason I'm refinancing.... but it is on the list. And as for "analog", I think it's just used to label cigarettes as old-school, a thing of the past, outdated, history.... and I've found it makes people new to vaping laugh at how it's used. I think it's normal for people whose connection to each other is a single behavior, or ideology, or hobby, to twist some words and their meanings so that they are unique to them and their interest, sort of like an insider joke. Maybe we should distribute secret decoder rings. I always wanted one of those. And it could tell me what "hole to the south" really means.....
(Rocketman, quit laughing at me long enough to respond, dammit.)
mmmmmm pppffffffffffffffff mmmmmmmmmm ppppfffffffffffff (note to self: take some deep breaths and try to relax) mmmmmmmmmmm pppppppfffffffffffffffffffffffff

| For any new faces reading this..I'd suggest the 510 is the best stock mass produced 3.7V e-cig out there....just make sure you get a PCC for it.
510 sure has come a long way since the beginning of the year when almost everyone was kickin' it to the curb due to the burning of too many thighs issue.

mmmmmmmmm pppffffffffffffffffff mmmmmmmmmm pppfffffffffffffffff aahhhh, peace at last...... mmmmmmmmm ppppffffffffffffff | Like I said in the other thread, I'm a do it yourselfer! I've already ordered the battery connectors, and I'll be making a 12V mod that will run off my computer PS (Cover? what's a cover?) as well as a 12V plug I have in my car. Of course, I'm not going to RUN it at 12V!!! It would last all of on-two puffs, but BOY would they be good ones!
I have a circuit that will drop the voltage to 5V, which a lot of people say is the optimum voltage for a 510. I'm also going to make an 18650 mod that should last at least a day, maybe more. A protected battery runs about $5-7, and a case can be made pretty easily.
As far as taste, the 510 is a bit heavy; the 084 I started with tasted a bit better, but was like smoking a Parliament (if you remember those...) I like the heavy hit of the 510.
I'm also CHEEP! The idea is first of all to get off tobacco (and hope vaping isn't as bad...) but also to save a few bucks! If I'm going to spend what it costs for ciggies, it's not worth it. Maybe I haven't gotten the right flavor or combination, but I don't really like the taste of vaping! Of course, after supper I lit a cig, took 4 puffs and said This tastes like CRAP! Sometimes it works that way... |

Actually it's true I do like the 510 in the HV mod, I really do it brings out the taste really nice, I mean really nice that's why I have a tendency to burn the damn thing, lol! I sit there and try to eat it I guess. |

I got my 510 to from RMV and it got here the morning of the third day, when I was really jonesing and actually smoked a couple real ciggies. Good deal, fast and free shipping, and the guy personally sends you an email. The only problem i see is that I ordered some Turkish juice with it, and it's really good, but where did it come from and what's in it? I have some VT Vapor Tobacco and mix the two for a pretty good smoke.
...but the batteries suck... |

| No, Fluval is perfect my man, it is nice and sweet to cut and a box will last you a long time. Some people swear by the PTB I have not used it so I can't say I dunno. I have heard others say it's half a dozen of one or 6 of the other so take it for what it's worth.
I don't care for TW or their high prices, so don't ask me about them. I have no idea what that place is up to nor do I want to know. You are going to get good service from RMV they really are one of my favorite vendors with fast shipping and really low prices. A real good outfit. Michigan based so please support the state hit with the worse unemployment in the nation buy Michigan. This announcement has been brought to you by Snarky and the Buy Michigan Campaign. |

| I'm not giving up that easily. Onward, through the bog.... er, fog. Nebraskapuffer clued me in to a site I didn't know about for good 510 prices: Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store.. Several options to get a 510 starter kit; the best one $35 without the white box, $5 shipping (yes, 2 complete). Has anyone bought anything from them?
(I know, Firhill; I get the feeling I'm just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic....)

| Hi Kaye
I love the megas..ALOT!! And I was right I got them in before I even got my 510 LMAO...Size matters!! lol When I put a reg battery on (because it had such a pretty light hehe) I feel like I'm holding a nub...Haven't even thought about going back to my 4081..The 510 blows it away in vapor...some of the flavors I got are not too good like the cream..eewwwww and the caramel I was disappointed in that flavor but add some apple with it and not too bad..but Red Bull is great and vanilla is very nice also I said a while back that 24mg might be too strong for me but I was wrong...I think I need stronger lol..I practically suck my 510 like a pacifier so have been looking for some unflavored nic at about 48mg to add a feww drops into all my existing flavored bottles of 24mg to up the doseage.

| Kaye, I haven't abandoned you. The ranting and raving about one model or another, or a mod, or higher voltages are great input for a lot of us. Newbies may get confused, but they probably won't start out with a high voltage mod as their first ecig anyway. There is a 510 thread already and a DIY thread. We have vapor pimps hyping every model you can find. All good info. As far as the TW mega batteries, they do have more capacity than the regular ones, and I have autos and manuals in both (more than enough to be comfortable). If you shop sales then TW is OK for batteries and the 5 port charger (I leave one at work and one at home and seldom have to use a couple of supplemental USB chargers. I still just use the little one dram bottle dropper to refill, and yes often have to top off the 510 cart. Just isn't a problem to me.
The swamp lady is staying with the 901 auto, just her choice. We both carry a couple of the little bottles (little blue bottles, green bottles, red bottles and amber bottles, from Specialty Bottle). I have plenty spares for just about everything, and well over a years' supply of juice. Especially now that we are cutting to about 12mg/ml. One 30ml bottle of flavored 24mg/ml in the 100ml graduate, one 3.7ml bottle of Loranns, and bring the total up to 60ml with real Vegetable Glycerin. Dispense into 30ml blue bottles. A couple ml of 151 rum or 100 proof vodka in the 100ml graduate to get all the thick drippins and divide into the 30ml bottles.
We have settled down to a couple of flavor combinations we each like and sometimes will try something different.
Ejuice still needs to be questioned. The physiological ramifications from vaping contaminated juice is probably permanent and potentially deadly.
MODS: If you can look at the photos and build one, do it. minimal risk. I have a couple but usually use the 510. It's "good enough".
7 volts? hope the chemistry of the juice doesn't get ugly just before the atty element fries.
I suggest everyone be allowed to express their opinion and leave choices up to the individual. Those that have some level of experience should provide some guidance to the newbies 'when asked' or when someone really seems lost or about to do something bad (like try to get 1005mg/ml nicotine) I seem to have found a very comfortable approach for myself. The swamp lady is comfortable with her choice, we are both happy with our progress.
Some quotes to remember (from some vaperguru I once knew):
Keep your stuff clean.
Keep your atty wet, a wet atty is a happy atty.
Don't drink from the toilet.
Spares, the word for the day is "spares".
Know where your juice came from, and who had their little hands in it when it was "repackaged".
Keep a list of family members with compatible kidneys in case you vape some contaminated juice.
One misplaced bottle of ejuice will KILL a child or pet.
and,
One day grasshopper you will realize the importance of becoming one with your atomizer.
ummmm pffff, ummmmm pffff.

| Yes, I have bought from Cignot and they are a great supplier. Fast shipping, good price, you can even get the PTB modded carts from there. That's pretty awesome I thought for those that have had trouble getting that mod to work right these are supposed to be the stuff. I prefer Fluval only because I didn't try the PTB mod. Found an interesting bit of information yesterday about the batteries those Mega batteries are the same output as the regular GC battery, although I doubt they can be used depends on the fitting.

| Not that I get anything out of this but a good price on them and since I already ordered mine ..lol... Vapor Country has their DSE-510 Atomizer(Black) for $4.99
Oh! and I found the 48mg 35ml unflavored bottles there also for 14.99..grabbed 2
I forget who told us once about tulle, but since I couldn't find fluval in town and going out of town meant it would not be cost efficient I decided to try the tulle..found a roll of white tulle 5"x24yds and I cut about 2 inches across and it works fantastically..3.00 and I am fixed for quite a while lol
OMG it squirmed in but dang if it didn't squirm out before I could catch it!!
..uh.OHHHHH..Kaye didn't you buy that big bottle of peach from vapor mountain or nuesmoke because they were showing out but had one left?
I think there's a worm in my brain

And yes, it can be confusing. I have a highly technical background, so once I got my head around a few fundamentals it was pretty easy to understand. But a less techie person would get a bit confused, I'm sure. |

| Hey, there's that nice friendly laid-back bunch I'm used to. Has anybody seen Renderwerks around lately? Hope all is well with him. Last time he disappeared for a while he was having health problems.
Rocket, thanks for the precise recipe in your last post. I'm gonna try it. Does adding the rum or vodka make a difference to the amount of vaper to someone who doesn't drip, dip, or dunk? I'm in a "dry county" (so many years since I've even heard that term and now I'm living it) but I can pick up some in Savannah (50 miles away) where my grandson lives... or better yet, I'll just ask him to bring me some this weekend. He's a good boy to his ol' granny.
Somebody sent me a really funny Halloween picture. I'm going to try to put it on here somewhere, even if I have to use it for my avatar. Made me want to get out my punkin carvin' tools. I'd have to add an e-cig to one of them but other than that, it's perfect! See if this link works. It was titled "A Public Service Announcement: Alcohol and Pumpkins Don't Mix! This Halloween, please make sure your pumpkins don't get into your alcohol." Happy Halloween, everyone. http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik....1&disp=emb&zw

| Sweett4rt, yes, I did but I had one before that was much better so I don't want to say where I got the last one from because it wasn't bad; just not as good as the earlier one. I'll let you know where I got that one when I figure it out. Good memory! And I thought you claimed to be brainless...

Rinse your razors in COLD water, or at most not more than lukewarm.
I buy one pack of 6 razors and use them for about 3-4 months each.

| I've been wanting to try the PTB in my carts just out of curiosity but didn't notice Cignot had them already modded. I'm gonna try them. I was talking to my daughter the other day (she still lives in NM) and mentioned the 510's are available in pink (she's crew chief for a pink hot air balloon from Belgium), and she said she'd be interested in that. So guess what she's getting for Christmas. She's not nearly the heavy smoker I was but if I can get her and my granddaughter off tobacco and into vaping, I'll be a happy granny. So I'm gonna be looking for a deal for a pink 510... mega-batts don't come in colors yet, do they? Somebody should be marketing 510 mega-batt starter kits in colors for Christmas.... do you think they heard me? SOMEBODY SHOULD MARKET 510 MEGA-BATT STARTER KITS IN COLORS FOR CHRISTMAS! I'd like to have one in aqua, please. TW is starting to market a 510 mega-batt starter kit but the price may be outrageous; it's not posted on their site yet... although I would pay more for one in pink or aqua.... I SAID I WOULD PAY MORE FOR ONE IN.... oh, never mind. A person can dream, can't they?
