woot.. another "right back at ya" to them.. Love it. Great article

Quote:
“It boggles my mind why there is a bias against e-cigarettes among antismoking groups,” Dr. Siegel said. He added that it made no sense to fret about hypothetical risks from minuscule levels of several chemicals in e-cigarettes when the alternative is known to be deadly: cigarettes containing thousands of chemicals, including dozens of carcinogens and hundreds of toxins.
LOVE it!

DBL love it

Quote:
“Nicotine itself is not especially hazardous,” the British medical society concluded in 2007. “If nicotine could be provided in a form that is acceptable and effective as a cigarette substitute, millions of lives could be saved.”
There an echo around here?

Even a better find considering that it came from my wife. Go for a physical tomorrow and will take a copy for my skeptic doctor. That, plus my lung condition should blow her away

Love it when somebody gets it right. Also no axe to grind and not proselytizing. I prefer to believe in the big tobacco/big pharma conspiracy. Find it easier than accepting that all the negative information is coming from self-righteous zealous prigs. I am always taken aback by the unkind and cruel nature of the anti-cigarette people. Start with Dr. Koop and work down. Oh, dear. Back in rant mode.

Well i read it again, not in speed mode this time. My favorite sentence of the entire article.

Quote:
Every time they light up a tobacco cigarette, they’d be better off vaping.

Excellent article!!! Love to read one on a positive note. Good to see I'm not the only one who feels trying to control someone to another's will or wishes simply does NOT work--- never will. Which sums up the best sentence.....

No one knows exactly what long-term benefits they’d gain from e-cigarettes, but we can say one thing with confidence: Every time they light up a tobacco cigarette, they’d be better off vaping.

Interesting...it says that smokers cut tobacco use by 50%. When I first started I went three weeks without a ciggie, but then cravings kept creeping up, and I went back to smoking and vaping, but instead of my usual 12-15 cigs a day I was doing 3-5, and then it crept up to 7-8, and then I decided to cut back and went to 5...then 3....then 2...then 1...and then, why bother? It's something like 14 weeks cig free, except I lit on up as Aqualung for a laugh. Funny, didn't taste as good as I remember....
