| Here we go. MY No Ego decided it was finished; would flash rapidly 5 times and then just turn on and STAY on! VAPE CITY! I opened it up and found...nothing. No apparent reason like excess juice or anything, so I decided the switch had gone ot the Great Gig in the Sky. Bye Bye...
But it was still usable? Throw it away? Nah? Buy a new switch? Nah! Mod it?!?! YEAH!
First, open it up. Take a dead METAL carto or atomizer and screw it in, and then "walk" the top off by gently rocking from side to side:

| Pop the switch silicone out with a tweezer or small screwdriver.

| Press on the bottom with a screwdriver, again rocking from side to side, or, if you have a vice and a 10mm socket, let it rip!
CHANGE: Not necessary if you have a long enough soldering iron!

| Remove the (in my case, red) wire from the bottom connector. You can see the switch will clear once installed. BTW, this is a Radio Shack momentary push button switch, rated at .5A at 125VAC. I have been using one in the 2.25A Atty Smasher for 2 years now...

| Solder a short length of wire to each leg of the swith. I splayed them apart a little to make darn sure it didn't touch the inside of the housing...

| Solder the LONG end to the bottom connector (um, you pressed it BACK to the bottom about 3 steps ago...yeah...) and install the switch in the regular switch openeing. It fits PERFECT without having to open the hole. I tried to ZOOM and it backfired...take your glasses off...

| The shorter end of the wire is sticking out of the top. Add a little solder to the top connector if there isn't enough, solder the wire to the top connector and press the top back in.

I understand that a new switch is probably the easiest fix, but this cures the issue. Could you post a photo of each side of the board? Way to go Steam

If I can get my camera to cooperate, I'll take a pic of the board. It does NOT like the Macro mode, but I have a "new" one coming next week...
Maybe two..I'd better go check eBay...
