| I absolutely love my Persei, I can't wait for the Iris, Eight and pass-thru. I could buy a different Evo Cartridge but I like Delta 9 technology better and I will dance with who brought me to the dance.

With a fully charged IMR the loaded voltage will be right at 3.7 volts with a pair of 1.5 ohm cartos. That's getting darn close to 5 amps. Even in a mod that can handle 5 amps with ease it is borderline abuse Bottom spring is probably getting a little warm.
A few hits on each carto single takes the edge of the cell charge and current drops a little. Then go twice pipes.
No need trying to kill it
I used a couple of 2.8 ohm cartos. Singularly, they don't produce much vapor at 3.7 volts. In pairs they are at least adequate.
A pair of 2.4 ohm cartos might be pretty good. I'll have to dig and see if I have some tonight when I can get my hands on the Persei.

A: take the amps for a single carto and double it?
B: in dcc cartos, a 1.5 ohmdcc actually ahs two 3ohm coils right? So in the duly would twin 2.2ohm cartos equal a single 1.1ohm carto?
Or C: both A & B wrong?

Two cartos will drop cell voltage some. Current will not quite be double. Fresh off the charger the cell voltage will be the highest. Drops a little really quick. The first hit is the one that has the best chance of causing damage.
You have the parallel resistance concept down pat

at least thats how Id go about it anyway

I think all my 18650 chargers just died and I don't have the time to fix one of them tonight. What is the wife going to do when the only charged cell goes dead?
OH NO, why didn't I get some spare chargers?

(easier than hiding a couple dozen 18650 cells)

Yeah, did some quick taps on calc. Both A&B made same results. So with dulytop, the user is "electronicaly" sorta building a multi-coil device.
