So a day or 2 after I got my first USB passthrough from Puresmoker, it started acting up. Wouldn't turn on during a drag, mouth full of juice, - aggravating. I did some testing, and could not figure out any logical reason for it. It didn't seem to be the cord, as it would randomly come on or off regardless of the way the cord would be positioned, or the angle the unit was held.

So I emailed Puresmoker, they offered to send another. I never got to the post office, so I never sent mine back. Ran out of powered batteries, and had no choice, so I opened up the original USB I was planning on sending back. After further inspection that night, realized it was the cord, I was able to turn it on or off by movement of the cord this time around. Tried to fix it, broke it, left me with no smoking devices for a while, cuz my batts were dead.

I then took it outside, smashed that sob into pieces with a hammer.

The only downside to all this IMO is the technical problems. When you pick one of these up, and expect to get your nic hit, and it's not there, that is friggin aggravating. I keep telling myself, its worth the trade off, compared to all the negatives from regular smoking. But still SUCKS.

Emailed Puresmoker saying sorry, dont send the replacement, as the cord issue could have been done by me. And that I cant send it back, because it was in USB heaven.

5 minutes later, the replacement showed up at the door! They had sent out a replacement without getting my original.

So, hows that for fate. Big props to Puresmoker.com, they saved my sanity that morning.

And to all you others out there, be careful with those Passthroughs, the cords are easy to jack up.

I'll be getting one soon. I'll make sure to hide the hammers for the first week.

I purchased 3 from PS and they all tested as ok, with my first one getting a good workout so far. I really like the switches in these! They seem far better than the normal battery ones, which to me require much more sucking to activate. The passthrough OTOH is very sensitive and easy to vape from.

But yeah, the cord is likely the weakest link here for sure. It's kind of annoying because everything else seems fairly decent with 'em. Juice getting in the hole hasn't gummed up my switch either - I'm not sure if these are made slightly differently or what, but they do seem overall better than the standard batteries.

The only other thing I don't like as much is that the LED light is far smaller/dimmer because of the cord coming out. But that's more of a cosmetic thing.
