Hey all.....

Just thought I'd say hello from an ole fart in Ottawa Canada, and to lay a "Thanks" on the creator for yet another active (and pretty cool looking) site that has spun off with ECF's unfortunate recent challenges.

I'm was a heavy 2-3 pack a day analog smoker at the end of November'08, and started vaping the beginning of December'08. Got her down to an avg of 12 analogs a day with hopes of total anihalation in short time.

Started with the Smoke-51 (which I think is great !!), and just received a Janty Dura Friday and started "playing" yesterday with all the different flavours and strengths available out there with my first sampler kit from JC.

I'll oppolize in advance as my posts and replies usually end up longwinded since I can't seem to force myself into "point-form" discussions format, lol.

Anyway (cutting this short - HA, don't get used to it, lol), so here's my hello and hope to enjoy your forum.

VapeOn,
Greg

Hello everyone, iam from NJ, firstly thank you guys for creating this really cool (except for the color, hope its changed to something more easy on the eyes) new forum, it kind of got frustrating hitting the server busy or server down signs on the e-cig forum.

I'm still in the process of starting e-cigs, waiting for my EVO order to arrive in the mail. Iam a pretty light analog smoker, about 2-4 analog's a day.

I hope to learn and contribute to this forum and hopefully this forum goes on to be one of the best e-cig forums.

I figured since I'm a mod that I should be extending my greetings to all the new members as well - no need for just the Admins to do it.

Welcome...to THUNDERDOME!!!!

Steve from Los Angeles, forum junkie, here. Smoked for 41 years (eek!), and am now only vaping.
Glad to find another forum, thanks for doing it.

Greetings from Texas. New to e-cigs and new to forums. My husband is the geek in our family, but I thought I'd give it a whirl. Still not sure what some of the abreviations are!!!
I just learned what imo means Soo...no making fun of me if I ask stupid questions!! Like...where is vbulletin? couldn't find it.
I have a 901 and just got a pilot. I think I like my 901 better, maybe I'm just more used to drawing on it, but it seems to me I get a better drag. I've found that I don't pull on these the same way I do a reg smoke....I guess it tastes so good that I like to take lots of little pulls and let the vapor seep out....my husband says I look like a mad bull Nostrils flaring...smoke coming out...how sexy!! I still haven't given up my reg smokes completely, I have 5 or so day, which is better than a pack and a half!! Maybe one day.
It's nice to be here, all the jibber jabber becomes addicting!!
See you around.

Hi and welcome! vBulletin is just the brand of message board/website we are using here. It fairly common and quite robust.

Anyway, feel free to ask any questions. We're a pretty laid back group around here.

Ok, so I guess I should introduce myself. I have already made a few posts on here and I really like this site. I purchased my DSE901 about a weekago from cigtechs.com and so far I like "vaping". Not enough to warrant throwing out my Marlboro Ultra Light Menthols quite yet (although I hope to really be an xMarlboroMan soon). I have a couple of packs left in my carton and I have been teetering on the idea of not buying another carton once I have finished the last pack... wishful thinking, but it seems a lot of you have done kicked the analog habit, so I am hoping that will inspire me enough to do the same.

My intensions to try vaping was to eliminate some of my normal cigarettes during my normal smoking routine through out the day. So far, I have eliminated 2 "real" cigarettes with vaping. For me, that is pretty good as I have never tried to quite smoking analogs in the 15+ years I have been a "smoker".

I don't smoke in the house and I only take 1 smoke break in the morning and one in the afteroon at work, so I am hoping to be able to stick to that routine. Although, I have broke down and vaped at my desk at work and at home ONLY when no one else was around; especially my girlfriend would was very leary of me doing this 'cause she was/is worried I would just smoke more.

So, that is my story...

Hey Greg, I am the same way as you. I get on a tangent and distracted from my point that by the time I am done typing it is a short novel. LOL. Hopefully most people will be able to follow my crazy train of thought

Hey Andrew. Thanks for the introduction and welcome! I'm kind of the opposite regarding the long winded posts. I will have all this stuff in my head and I will start typing and before I get too far I just say, "aww, screw it" and close the window without posting.

Hi, everyone!

I see some familiar "faces", here.

For those who don't know me, I've been an e-smoker and a reviewer for over 10 months now, and I'm always glad to help people out, answer questions, etc. I spend most of my online time at ECF, but like to pop in and out of other forums. So, I'll be seeing y'all around.

The first E-cig I bought was the DSE 901 from puresmoker, a week later I purchased the Crown7 Hydro and I love them both.

Hey, nice to see some e-cig vets around here. I'm sure your experience will be helpful to the community here.

In you opinion, which e-cig produces the most vapor? Do you find that it depends a lot on the juice being used?

Hi all!

I found this forum while researching e-cigarettes, trying to find out how they work and which is the best to buy for a first-timer. Lots of great information here, and it finally helped me make my decision.

I'm a 39 year-old attorney, a twenty year smoker of analogs, 1 pack per day. Last June when New York dramatically increased the price-per-pack for analogs, I bought a machine, loose tobacco and empty cig tubes and became a "stuffer." This has worked out very well for me, as I can choose the tobacco I want (additive free) and save a butt-load of money (I now spend about 83 cents per pack vs. nearly six bucks for Winston's).
But you know, I'm turning 40 in April, and I've not been successful in quitting. I like the act of smoking, just not the cancer. It's taken a toll on my health, thankfully not serious (yet) and I just knew there had to be a better option. I'm very excited about electronic cigarettes, and have a feeling I'm going to take to it pretty quickly.

Three days ago I ordered the "CT-901" from CigTechs (sorry PureSmoker, but you guys were unfortunately out of stock and I can't wait to get vapin'! Next time, though). In addition, I ordered the "Starter Kit" from Johnson City, so I can try the different flavors and do some refilling.

So that's it! As I write this, I am a "Vaping Virgin". I will let you know how things go, but I want to thank all the forum posters for helping me learn about this technology so I could make an informed first choice.
