So my workplace went "Smokefree" and as the name implies I like my nicotine to help me keep perky during long shifts. I've never had good experiences with other nicotine replacement systems (yeah, I'm allergic to the patch, yay me!)

I purchased an Eluma (ElumaCigs - The World's Best Electronic Cigarettes) because it seemed like a pretty good deal... and I'll be honest, the cigarette pack sized mobile charger struck me as nifty. :P

I'm pretty happy with it, but I'd like to be able to refill my own cartridges (red bull flavor? YES PLEASE!) which seems possible, but I can't seem to find out what the actual model number for the Eluma Cig is which would be helpful, hence I came here. I browsed through the models forums, but I didn't see anything that looked exactly like what I have now. There were a few that looked close, but there were discrepancies with the appearance of the cartridges.

Of course, I'm open to the idea that the Eluma isn't the best bang for my buck. The 901 seems very popular, so I'm tempted to try one. But being a tight wad, I'd much rather be able to refill my own stuff and order replacement parts from elsewhere than Eluma... never know when a site might go up in smoke!

Thanks for the help in advance!

This is a copy of blu! and blu is a terrible product. I would recommend the 510, which a number of suppliers sell and you can refill. A Crown7 Hydro, which is refillable as well. Or their is the KR808D which can be refillable as well.

I would also recommend either the D510 or the kr808d-1. Both are easy to refill. The D510 from what I've read has lots of output. The kr808d1 is very low maintence, easy to swap out the cartomizers and last a long time i.e. good away from home. You will find both have multiple vendors and they have lots of options.

I have a 510 and a couple 901 atomizers I use on home-made battery housings.
I mostly use the 510 (look around and you'll see my luck with their atomizers! )
The 510 is my primary, 901's seem really good when they're fresh, but flavor seems to fade quickly.

One thing gets me: their ad says 100% Carcinogen Free!
Any juice that contains nicotine or real flavorings from tobacco are going to be cancerous! The good part is you're not getting a lot of other stuff found in ciggies, but unless you get a flavor other than tobacco, and 0 nic, there are still cancerous compounds available.

And some juice makers from other places seem to be cutting their PG based juices with anti-freeze grade propylene glycol, which can create toxins.

VolcanoECigs.com sell the same ecig as Blu, but everyone I know that used V was extremely pleased in comparison to Blu. In fact, I checked out their site and they added new flavors, added blank carts, and are partnered up with eLiquidplanet. I wouldn't straight up bash the model, as some companies have better quality versions of the model (or so it seems). Although, I totally agree on the 510. It's pretty much the standard, well-rounded ecig. I love mine for it being easy as hell to refill, cheap to replace parts on, and reliable (also because of the green LED).

I just got my 510 kit in from Madvapes, and for $52 shipped with a 30 ML bottle of juice to get free shipping Im really happy. For an added bonus there kit comes standard with MEGA batteries. I dont have the experience with the other models but have been off cigs for 2 weeks(minus one when my bats were dead).

So far my experience with the Eluma has been allright. It became a little difficult to draw off of only a few weeks after purchase, which I thought was kinda lame because I'd followed the provided directions to clean and care for it. I contacted the company and with only a little goading they provided me a replacement atomizer for free. Still though, if the new atomizer eats it as quickly as the last... well, then I'll believe that it's a poor product.

Thank you very much for all the great suggestions! Given me something to research tonight at work. Also big thanks for pointing me towards Volcano Ecigs!

Congrats to Graveyard and Oggy.
Hang in there. This will get easier as you get used to vaping.
Part failures will become less frequent, but will still happen.
One thing to remember is there really is little difference between most of the popular models. The batteries, whether auto or manual, regular or MEGA are pretty much the same. They may have improved (?) the autosuck sensor in the automatic battery, but it can still get the "juices". Most also use a small mosfet circuit to switch the current on to the atty. The manual switch, or the autosuck sensor doesn't do the actual current switching. If you constantly vape without letting these cool down a little, battery life will be less. Come up for air every once in a while. Even now that I mostly use a big battery mod, I keep more than one cocked and locked, and share the load between them.

Attys have more in common between the various models than most people realize. The ones with the metal sponge bridge and a little heater coil under it are almost all the same. Some have a metal sleeve on the outside, some have the atty bridge exposed. The cartomizers are a little different. The KR models have a small axial coil suspended within the filler with a air passage though the center. The GC cart with it's high technology coil wrapped around a hank of troll hair looks different, but all function pretty much the same. If you treat them right, they perform.
Different levels of throat hit, taste, hotness, coolness, vapor clouds are personal subjective features of the different models. Variations in electrical parameters of the attys impacts the way you vape these. Hot attys heat quick, like the 2.3 ohm Joye 510. The higher resistance 801 (over 3 ohms) heats slow, takes longer to get a good hit.

Keep the faith, these work, almost any model will work, try a few. If you don't spend $100 for a $50 model, spend $25 for a $8 atty, you can afford to experiment. Just remember: get juice, you will need juice, get spares, parts fail, and most of all'

learn to become one with your atomizer. Until you do that, most models will fail you.

I made the mistake of throwing a piece of bread into some tobacco I bought in October, right before I got my first e cig. Darn stuff was stale when I BOUGHT it. The singer told me about the bread trick when I gave him another half-pound of tobacco that was sitting here going stale, so my 1-2 regular cigs a day are nice and fresh again...

I have ordered from Eluma and loved the product but their customer service leaves alot to be desired. I ordered 3 atomizers and received them and 2 of the 3 were duds....emailed their customer service same day I received them and was told to call a 800 # only to be insulted by their rep that I was scamming them by trying to return atomizers I had "killed"....I honestly truly was not doing any such thing! I need to find another e-cig with a responsible customer service dept! I like the design of Eluma....want pre-filled cartridges. ANy suggestions?

I guess I am considered a "newby". I do not know alot about this.I like the eluma cig...just do not care for their sanctimonious customer service. I would like something comparable....maybe with a cartomizer instead of a seperate atomizer. I like the black style....and the menthol 16 mg nicotine cartridge.

What i would suggest it to go To our Model Guide and start reading. Once you figure out what model you want ask around to see who has the best deal on them right now.

It sounds like you want to get your hands on a carto. I know minimal aobut them but I am going to be placing an order for a Kr808 eventuallly for a little more knowledge. Here's the fun coincidence in all of this; One of our members just happened to make a post for kr808-d1's just recently KR808-d1's LeCig Their site link is here------> LeCig

ya kr808d-1s are nice, or you could get a 510 and use cartomizers which work awesome as well.
