I was making dinner, and toking away- when my ego 18650 Light stayed on! NOT COOL!

I had problems with it staying firing, because the switch button seemed loose. (I have a video of that too)

Instead of putting it up to my face to listen if it was actually STILL Firing! (Never put a Failing Mod up to your face/head!)
...instead, I immediately pulled out the battery- set it down. Battery was NOT HOT! And was fresh, only about 5 minutes of vaping on it! Checked and it was at 4.1V still.

Started vid recording, checked it to see if it would do it again...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnxoJZEbccE

I tried to get the sound louder, but it still sucks, Turn It Up~

As you can see, I put it back on the charger (refreshed the battery -took 2 minutes). Put it inside the Mod-

it flashes 3 times now when connecting, but I can not get it to fire...

Almost 3 weeks with it. Worth $12 ??? I'm not giving it a thumbs up anymore. Glad I tried it, but not for me.

Next up- Super-T Precision Plus 18650 .... Est. arrival date = whenever David finishes it!
in the meantime I'm back to my eGo-t 1000mah passthrus, and Lux 950 from electovape!
The Lux is real nice, and lasting longer than I thought, but I can't use my tanks on it. Only carts.

Enjoy the show, and keep vapin!

Smoketek 1.7 resorrectors and 1.5 DCC Tanks from CCV.
I tried some others the first week, to see if they all worked on it, and they did @ 2 - 4ohms.

But my Go To Vape has been the Smoktech Cartos.
btw- I got a new one out last night and filled it. first few hits were nasty (like always) but that taste never went away... I refilled it, and it's still nasty? Probably my juice...
So I've gone thru about 8 of these with no problem... but now I know why some people don't like them. KEEP VAPIN~

well I just asked to see what the loading was..I killed several different type units using DCC's...Im guessing it was too much draw for the circuitry over a couple weeks or so when they died..

Hmm? Maybe~
Seemed like the circuitry was working. It flashed 3 time when connecting- like always. Maybe something after that blew... ?

I pulled it out of the garbage and will pull it apart this weekend.
Thanks for watching it! (Dont forget to Like!)

well they do work for a while before they give up..soley a guess but Im thinking they stress the circuitry until something gives...sometimes they would act odd and then quit shortly there after..sometimes just outright fail no warning...

Yeah, my No Egos did that too. They would flash three times, but when you pushed the button...MELTDOWN!

Have to admit, when that happened it put out a load of vapor!

I'm curious as to why your having a nasty taste to your carto. After filling them do you let them sit a little while to get fully saturated?

You say nasty "like always" that kinda tells me you may be doing it wrong I haven't had a nasty carto since way back when I was a noob If your getting a nasty taste, it's probably the center air tube burning, it's a denser material than the filler around it and takes longer to get fully saturated.

After filling the carto, put a couple of drops down the center air tube and let it sit for 10 minutes or so and see how that works for ya

I'll try this.

Yeah, I just condom filled it. and then hit it... no wait.
Also, this is my first time trying that method- and my last!
Dripping into it slowly gives time to soak! Duh...
Thanks Pit. This is most likely my problem. I'll try another new one tomorrow- see if I get the same taste from dripping it...
Some people say that burnt taste never goes away- I'll just wash it and see!
Thanks

Sometimes you can revive a nasty one by dripping several drops down the center tube and blowing it out the bottom a few times until the juice looks about the same color as it should. worth a shot any way...

You are one weird dude. It was obvious that something was wrong with the switch right from the get go.

Weird?

I needed a 510 female end- $5.99 the place I saw them in stock!
When I saw this $12 switch, I liked the safety features. BUT my other Joyetechs did NOT like the 1.5 Dual Coils... which (as we know) shortens their life significantly! I was hoping this known issue was fixed by now.
Since I wanted the SuperT- this 18650 was a STEAL at the price!

But once again 1.5-1.7ohms can fry this $12 switch with heavy usage within 3 weeks. So? ....At least now we know.

Now I have my female 510 connection, and I was able to try and review it for you - and everyone that enjoys this place!

How is that weird?

I'm still using my eGo-t batts, and they still run my 1.7 Single coils nicely... So they are not junk, I just max mine as much as possible.
If I were a 1/2 a pack a day smoker, this switch may have lasted 2 months+
...But I smoked 2 packs a day, or 30 filterless RYO's. My Nic is at least 24mg- but I have most at 30mg. It's the only way to keep me off smokes.

Total spent on ego's since started= under $100.
That's about 1/5 of what I would have spent on smokes by now.
Add in DIY Juice and cheap Cartos, and it is Well worth it! (IMHO)

btw- I Love the Pic! Engage!
God Bless!

I ruined a few genuine eGo batteries with LR coils, about 1.5-1.9 ohm. Seems that very miniature mosfets overheat if you vape frequently. Protection allows these currents, but mosfet itself overheats.
I think, new 18650 egos have the same board, so problems are the same.

Yea..I did in about 5 devices myself trying to find a range that seemed to work OK..I found about 1.8 to work for my style vaping anyway so I went to single coil smoketechs on those at 1.8 in tanks as an alternate to the 1.5 dual coils on those type units. Your right though..that may not work for everybody dependent on frequency and draw times..I tend to run up to self cut offs quite a bit..

Dang- Running to cut-off! I rarely do that... I have to really try, and then I cough! Maybe it's the nic strength that is holding me back from doing this more often?

KEEP VAPIN!

If you cough, your atomizer overheats. Or a part of the heater overheats. I wrote this in vaping FAQ on my russian forum. Normally functioning atomizer never makes you cough. sometimes it's too hard, and you want to reduce TH, but if you cough, something wrong.
Maybe something shortened in coil. Or you have any organic pieces on the coil. I usually get them from my cat when he comes to my knees. I just go to water supply and rinse my atomizer

Sorry about the misinterpretation...
I don't cough into my tip!

I meant I can handle it, until I blow out- then I start to cough, so I haven't done it very often.

My nic is so strong, in the morning, I have to take small drags, or french inhale it for 10 minutes... before taking a nice long drag with great TH.

I'm beginning to wonder about all that blowing going on
