Uh, 14670, and they are AW. I bought them at $15 each but I think they are selling for $10 now.

The one I am using is my most used 'discrete' battery (ie, not as part of a purchased unit) and has seen battle in both my 14670 mods for a little over a year. However, I usually use the powered Atty Smasher in the car, just because I don't like to futz with batteries.

2nd day on the 18650 No Ego, it went a full 24 hours with my oldest Tenergy, and was used instead of the Atty Smasher.

How long did the 14500 last you? I'm thinking about getting the 18650 because my cartos seem to be sucking the life out of my 14500 too fast.

Yikes. I'm using a 14670, which is about as long as an 18650. It is a long battery. Mine are AW, but I got those because they were the ONLY 14670 on the market, and they are highly recommended by serious flashlight users (would you believe there is a whole subculture of Flashlight Users?!?!?! They are out there (I mean, they're around) and offer EXCELLENT ideas about batteries!

I got them here: AW 14670 Protected Rechargeable Lithium Battery

$5 less than I paid, and OUT OF STOCK!

They fit in a No Ego, but it's a TIGHT fit (I don't know about you, but I like...never mind...)

You did not answer how long it lasted???? I assume those 14670s are longer than the 14650s... if so, not going to use a longer battery... don't want to chance messing up my pv. And sorry, not part of the flashlight club.

Yeah, you have to really stuff it in, but the spring is long enough to compensate. If you have 14500s already, don't get a 670. It's about 900maH, and lasts a day, anyway.

When I use it in conjunction with my powered mods, I don't have to charge it for 3-4 days.

No, not using 14500, using 14650. Lasts about 8 hours using the mega dual coil cartos and lr boge.

That's pretty good. I went from 9AM to 1 AM yesterday, but that was with an 18650.
I charge them after 2 days anyway.

I may have to invest in the 18650. Question Alert::::: is the 18650 much bigger than the 14500?

About 1/2 again as large around. If you have one of those 3 AA led flashlights around, it will FILL the barrel with little room to spare. I actually use an 18650 in those lights instead of 3 AAs, because I know it's going to last for a LONG time.

If you have the 14500 No Ego, won't fit at all. If you have the 18650, knock yerself out! The hit is amazing for quite a while!

NO, I don't have one of those flashlights. All my flashlights take C batteries... I think. I do have AA batteries. It took me awhile to get use to the larger 14500 no ego compared to my egos. Was like going to a cigar. But I'm ok with it now. Just didn't want to go too much larger in with a pv.

Do you have a No Ego 18650? If you think the 14500 is a cigar, the 18650 is a CHURCHILL!!! Really, that's what it feels like!

But with my homemade 18650 mods, I can get up to 4 days use, so I don't mind the size. And having a battery that large means it can hold up both voltage and current wise, so it delivers a blast a lot longer!

I just put a new clearomizer on the 18650 today with a fresh charge, and WHOO HOO! Nice.

No, I don't have the 18650, only the smaller 14500. Hum... not sure I want one that big... I may have to think on it longer. Mine does produce some nice vapor and really liking the mega dual coil carto.

OK....well an 18650 isn't going to fit, but let me know what happens with the dual coils. This thing has a mosfet in it, and Romaniac says they are calibrated for 3A. With a 1.5 ohm DC you're running 2.6A, probably just enough of a buffer to keep you out of trouble...

Ok, I read blah, blah blah.... so the duals drop whatever from 3 to 2.6. Ok. I'll take your word for it, even though you do tend to tell me stories And what if whatever falls below 2.6... .... So far the mega dual coil is great. I have used it for a week now and still kicking out good vapor, TH, and good taste. It lasts a long time as well. Haven't had any hot juice popping problems and it does crackle sometimes but nothing more than my boges might. It does get warm, maybe hot to some but seems to be no more than my other cartos. Just hate how it sucks out my battery life. I'll let ya know if anything changes.

The mega dual coils absolutely rock on the noego...no problems here either..they perform as good as the boge lr's but definitely last longer performance wise..and they absolutely burn up more battery life then the boge lrs..but its really easy to change batts out..tough call on which way to go...get another 14500 or step up to the 18650....not sure if the 18650 will fit in my pocket as nicely though..
speaking of changing battery's..has anybody seen a plastic sleeve that you could store the 14650's in to protect the circuit strips on the battery while in your pocket? something like those small juice bottle plastic? or a real skinny prescription bottle?..any ideas?

Would be nice if those plastic end caps that come on the cartos fit, too small though. Maybe they sell them in larger sizes? Then you could just slide a plastic end cap on it. I know they sell plastic tubing and end caps for shipping stuff and have seen very small ones in the convenience stores. Maybe they sell them small enough to fit the battery.

actually the protection strip runs from top to bottom on the side..if you look at it closely you can see what looks like a narrow strip under the plastic covering...thats it..so it would have to cover the whole battery to be safe

If you can find those small plastic mailing tubes, those may work. I have seen hard plastic cylinders that have snap on caps but I can't recall right now where I have seen them. Maybe it will come to me, I'm sure they have to make something out there that will work.

I think Lighthound has them.

No, they're abttery holders for spares. Lighthound Waterproof Battery Storage Tube holds 2 x 18650 batteries or 4 x CR-123 batteries
