| so i got this Njoy Npro today, and after never trying an ecig before, I am not sure I want to continue. Heres the deal, it tastes like I am smoking aluminum. I got an instant headache, the smell is stuck to my hands, haha even smoking a real cig I can smell this sweet metal smell. Did I get a bad one? or do they always taste so bad?
Well heres the other thing, I was fiddling with it after I decieded I was done, and was playing with the atomizer and ended up pulling all the guts out and breaking it. So if I do decide to try it again, I will have to get a new one of them. Are the supposed to sizzle when ya take a drag? I was really looking forward to enjoying this thing and being able to smoke in the house, its been SOOO cold outside and in the garage. but anyways...
I tried the Light first, and it tasted like sweet metal, I tried the Regular next, tasted the same, i kinda made me not feel right. Not like a cigarette buzz, but not good. Thanks for the site! wish I found it sooner!
Suggestions? |

Suggestions? | First of all, it took me 4 days to kill my first one. I think you have set a record...
Yes, it does taste bad at first. NEXT time, set it up, put on a cart (or cartomizer), taste a few drags and then just puff them out without inhaling. The metal either has a taste of it's own, or the mesh is coated; either way you have to burn it off first.
Some people complain of headaches. Also, depending on the formula used in making the juice (either Propylene Glycol or Vegetable glycerin) you might be having an allergic reaction. Try to find out what's in the juice and then try the other.
A lot of people complain of headaches, and I think it's just the way you 'smoke' an e cig. I didn't get a 'headache', but got something like a muscle ache until I got used to it.
You may be allergic. It happens...

| That yucky taste has something to do with a protective coating on the atomizer that will burn off as it's used; it can be cleaned off before use to avoid that taste. We all know it; we all hate it; it will go away fairly quickly. I know nothing about the model you're using but there are others here who know everything about it and they'll be able to tell you where to get replacement parts, if that's what you want to do. There are some less expensive options; just recently, I saw that LeCig, one of our members who is also a supplier, has some amazingly inexpensive 510 disposables that might be something that would be good to start with. Several people have tried them and seem to like them a lot. The main reason I wanted to try them back in June was because I wanted to be able to smoke inside without stinking up my house (or anyone else's), my car, my clothes, my hair, etc., and it's one of the best things I ever did. Vaping is extremely enjoyable; you just got off to a bad start so don't give up, just learn more about it.

| I think you got some bad juice. My 2nd or 3rd order I decided to get the cheapest juice I could find.
I got that exact same taste. |

| I keep reading how everyone likes theirs, I want to enjoy mine TOO hahaha, I guess I am going to have to order a new atomizer. In my package was a coupon for 30% off my next order at Njoy, that makes the atomizer 14 dollars plus shipping... but man this thing was 80 bucks, I kinda dont wanna toss it and buy a new one and go through all that, especially at Christmas time, I am strapped enough as it is. How about those disposable ones? maybe I should try that if they are cheap enough... where can I find ordering info on that 510? and who makes it? Thanks for all the replies! |

| Two of the disposables from MadVapes would also be a great option as they perform very well and I can also attest to the fact they are more than "disposable". I opened one of my 5-pack and use it enough daily that it needs a charge by the end of the day.
It's on it's 8th re-charge now.

| Jadd, here's a link from one of MadVapes to a site with disposables; contact him for more info. He can help you get something for less than $80 for now that should keep you vaping until your finances recover from the holidays! MadVapes LLC
Here's another link for a site recommended in another thread that has a fantastic price on a metallic red starter kit and all the juice flavors you could want:

| Jadd,
I had to deal with the same thing with my NPRO, it ended up being the atomizer. I have gone through 3 atomizers with this NPRO. Now I barely use it and when I do I only use it to drip.

| Thanks yall, I was lookin at the madvapes site last night, and just now and the disposable 510's are out of stock at the moment, but then Njoy is sending me a free replacement for the atomizer. I will keep checking on the 501's though and see what the new atomizer is like. Thanks again! |

| If your Njoy has prefilled carts the juice may be OLD.
Robert's comment about "cheap" juice in right on.
When a seller really really needs to get rid of juice,
it gets really really CHEAP.
Now I hate to say that because a true sale is not necessarily
OLD juice.
But prepackaged, prefilled carts usually aren't refrigerated and if you don't know how old the juice is I'm not sure I would vape it.
I have a pile of 901 prefilled carts I got when I started the Swamp Lady on e-cigs (bought them in January).
They taste like crap, sort of un-safe crap. Those get cleaned out and refilled before being vaped.
When it comes to juice, try something that has positive reviews, by buyers, not just the sellers. |
