Hey, there.

My husband and I have been smoking analogs since our first date back when I was 16, we thought it would be cool to picked up a pack of cigs even though never one of us smoked and that was 16 very expensive years ago.

Anyway, we heard about this e-cig thing and decided to give it go because why not, right? My husband and I wanted different things out of this (isn't that always the way?). He didn't want to quit but he also didn't want a wife that constantly complained that he was going to get lung cancer even while holding her own lit cigarette. So basically for him, he wanted something as close to analog in size and taste as he could get. We picked up a Volcano for him with 24mg imitation Marlboro flavor juice (because the pre-filled carts from volcano are crap) and he is good to go.

Now that he's all set up, it's time for me to get my own PV. So, here is where the advice comes in.

I don't want a Volcano. I don't want just an analog substitute. I was a bit of a *coughcough* "alternative smoker" *coughcough* back in the day so I don't just want the nicotine fix but I also want to enjoy the vaping experience.

I want something bigger than analog-sized but not too big. A cigar-size or less would be best and call me shallow but I also want it to be pretty.

These are the ones I am looking at:

Totally Wicked Titan 510-Pink

Totally Wicked Mini DSE901-Platinum

Volcano Inferno

Are these any good? Also, is the manual or automatic atty better? Is there a difference or is it just preference? I'm also going to trying dripping but I don't know if that makes any difference when choosing one.

Also, a question about e-liquid. Has anyone tried juicyvapor.com? They have some flavors that I am dying to taste but I haven't heard a lot of feedback on them so I am unsure whether to try them. I've heard great things about JohnsonCreek and VermontVapor so I am willing to give them a try if they are that good and just make due with the limited flavors. I am not ready to try mixing yet.

Okay, that was long. Sorry about that.

Advice??

hi.
ok first i am going to say i have tried juicey vapor, and there great, also
i am in love with vaporrenu.com, i personally like the custom blend reduced pg with vitamin c.

as far as manual vr auto, i have bolth but use the manual a lot more..
i have the pig cig from lecig.com its a lil smaller than a real cigar but fits nice in my hand <if you get one you will know what i mean> and it is 650 mah, compared to ones that look like a cig around 120 mah<the pig cig is longer lasting>.

this is imo only, and its just what i honestly use.

but in general sealed batts, are much better for beginners because when you over fill <it happens to all> the juice does not seep in to the batt and destroy it.

hope i helped, happy new year..

Totally Wicked is a good company. the guys here can give you great advice.
I started IN October with one that looked like an analog. Only lasted 2 weeks til I wanted something better too.
I have a 901 and hate it! Don't know about the 510. The inferno is pretty, yes, but I think, not sure - that's the one a lot of people are having problems with.
I'm not a 3 piece person. I love my cartomizers. but then I get them from Mike at LeCig.com, and I think the apple, RY4, Chocolate are great! I'm hoping to try the pineapple soon. Chris does a lot of reviews on Lecig stuff, you might wanna check those out. The Pigcig kit would be really great for you. I love my pigcigs and I have one of each color. I also like Mike's customer service. I can't say enough good about his policy when it comes to customers. AND, he has a coupon tomorrow for 20% off of everything if you use the code HANGOVER.

Tek: Cool. Thanks for the advice I'm checking all that stuff out.

Teri: May I ask why you hate the 901?

I don't like the 3 piece assembly. The juice gets all over your hands when you open a cartridge, and it tastes to me like sh$% smells.

Sorry, didn't mean to be so blunt. I just wanted to be straight up with you.
Do remember however, that taste is subjective.

Hi Hbrad, welcome to the neighborhood.
Pay no attention to Tek, he likes the pigcig because it's chrome and he's a guy. Oh, wait I've got three of them and mine are chrome ,so OK you can listen to TEK. Mike at LeCig is "family" and will treat you right.
Starting kits make the initial plunge a little easier because they come(usually) with what you need to get up and running. Make sure whatever you get has 2 batteries, atomisers, and cartridges or cartomisers and a charger to get your battery charged.
Cartomisers take the place of an atomiser/cartridge set. They are also called "cartos vs "carts" for the cartridges. You will see atomisers referred to as "attys" and bateries called "batts". (just trying to get you familiar with some of the new vocabulary).
As Teri says flavor of the juices you use are subjective and you won't like some, save them any way rainy day and all.
This ;obviously, isn't smoking so you'll have a lot to learn if you decide this vaping stuff is for you were here to answer your questions and if you hang out very much we'll start abusing you like we do the rest of the crew.
While I'm being nice;again, Welcome and Happy New Year.

I've had good flavors from juicyvapor. Also, like most here, have tried a few different models ecig but the Pigcig is the one I've settled on.

Dannnnnnnnnnnng, Teri! scare the poor gal! *LOL*

Two-piece or three is also a very subjective issue. If you like the 901 but prefer two-piece, then there's always the cartomizer option. Personally, I adore my 3-piece set up. It's versatile as hell. Cartridge, drip, top-up, or cartomizer, depending on mood or circumstances... very convenient for me.

Tasting or smelling bad... I'd say you (Teri) got unlucky with juices, or had some bad primer burn off experiences.

The 901 and the 510 are good if you like the general size/shape of analog, but they're more colorful and "jewelry-like" (imho). They don't feel much like an analog, in either case, whether you go auto or manual. They're much heavier in your hand. As I said- I love my 510, but also have 901 parts, and I use adapters to mix and match. Overall, I find the 901 a little weaker on the vapor production, but only barely.

Like your hubby, when I started off, I was positive that I wanted the whole thing to be a seamless replacement for smoking. I thought if it wasn't that I'd still want the analogs. Couldn't be farther from the truth. For a while I was trying to find the flavor that most closely resembled my analog preference, but I got right over that idea too. I still enjoy some tobacco flavors, but they have to stand on their own at this point. (Especially since the last time I actually tried an analog, I hated it. It was like suddenly I could taste all those vile chemicals that I somehow hadn't noticed in there before. Very nasty. Vile, even.)

I'm wanting to start on some heavier gear as soon as I get up the courage to build my own mods- buying mods is just too damned expensive, and I suspect takes some of the pride and pleasure out of the mod experience.

If you want your pv to stand out a little more, you can always personalize them, too- if you have an artistic spirit, it's pretty easy to start etching, painting, or otherwise embellishing the bits and bobs- so long as you don't block the connectors and your bats still fit the chargers, it's pretty much carte blanche.

If it were me, I'd stay away from the volcano inferno.
Thats the same model some of the members here had some problems with and that seems to be an abnormal high failure rate. I don't know if the manufacture worked out the issues yet, but why take a chance.
There are other ego (or facsimiles) out there that work fine, Id go that route.
If those who got replacements and they were fine let us know?

Mike at LeCig is great but I like 510 stuff also
Johnny another member here carries that stuff link
just my opinion

Flashlights are the easiest thing, but finding a really cool housing is the tough part, esp if you want to add a bigger battery. I wound up making one out of faucet parts that looks pretty good, but it's HUGE.

I've been trying to get Steam(the artist formally known as hachiroku) to make me one of those mods for a year, but no luck.
Maybe if I used the phrase "suck start a Harley"

Maybe you should use the term,"able to suck the chrome off of a trailor hitch"
