I almost got suckered by Knightsticks. They say that all you have to do is call within the 10 day trial period to cancel. I called, and they tried to tell me that I had to return the battery and 2 carts (at my expense no less) and they would cancel me. I pulled up the terms and conditions on their own website and told them that nowhere did it stipulate that I had to send anything back. After 20 minutes of yelling, crying, begging and cussing, they finally sent me an email saying that they cancelled my account and were sorry to lose me as a customer. Bastards! I'm still checking my account to make sure they don't charge me.

If they do charge you, be sure to call your bank and tell them that the charges were unauthorized. They'll probably give you a temporary credit and investigate. May want to keep an attorney's number handy, too. I've had desperate companies pull some crafty tricks. I won, but they still tried.

If they can get away with it 10 times, that's a cool grand in their pocket. The sheer number of people that get charged and just give up because of the hassle is astounding. That is the carrot that keeps these a-holes bold.

That's why I'm hoping that honest businesses like LeCig squashes these companies by the storefront. With actual retail locations the possibilities are closer to realities.
