hey all. just started vaping this past week. i was a 2 pack a day smoker. and have been rid of those stinkin cancer sticks ever since. i bought a used blue kit from one of the folks over over there at bluecigforums along with an 8084. well ive been using them alot and almost all four batteries are comletely shot. luckily i ordered a 510 on friday and its in the mail as we speak. hope it gets here before they all completely poop out. super excited as ive heard nothing but good about the 510. ordered the stainless model as it fits me. id rather have something that isnt meant to look like a reg smoke yaknow. anyways i thought id drop through here and say a quick hello to everyone. HELLO! look forward to my stay here. oh and onother thing. i have uploaded a profile image. how do i get it to show next to my name?

You're gonna LOVE your 510 unce you get through the learning curve. Lots of 510 info in the forums here but if you have any questions of need help hit me up here or via private message and I'll be glad to help you to the best of my ability.

Make sure your avatar is within the size limits and you should be good to go.

Go to "edit your details" then to "edit profile picture" and youshould be good to go. Perhaps you uploaded it to pictures and albums by mistake?

Your going to want a PCC for your 510, or some extra batts. They got some giant batts over at TW for your 510 too.

510 is the primo factory vape atm with the 901 with the manual batt a close 2nd.

Your more unlikely to get busted wherever, with a e-cig that doesn't look like an analog. Most places won't hassle you for sucking on your pen..

And you aren't trying to live off pre-filled cartridges are you?
You did learn all about e-juice and have a reasonable supply on hand?

and LAZ is on the money. 510manual, 510 with MEGA battery, 901 manual.
after you have enough of them to get though a failure or two, and yes failures do happen, then worry about customs or MODS. 510s and 901s are less than $20 a stick anywhere. Get a handfull
Black, Stainless, etc, and it's a conversation starter just about anywhere.

and scotchbright the little white 084 into a cool little stainless job.

I dropped a 510 and dinged the heck out of the battery and atty as well as lost the end-cap. It was catastrophic! Polished 'em both up nice and shiny, dressed-off the ding on the atty, and glued a tapered white nylon bushing I had laying around my shop on the end. It looks pretty cool. I'll get to my point here eventually...

It is slippery as heck and I drop it all the time now. The paint (powdercoat?) really provides some grip! If I could chuck it up in a lathe without mashing I would put a totally cool knurl on it. I'm thinking that when I'm bored enough I'm going to lay out a nice pattern with a fine-tip Sharpie and do some fancy filework on it. It'll probably die the next day- the atty I polished to match died a week afterwards :-|

dead bat and dead atty can be used to chuck one or the other, versus vissus, etc.

Spin the really dinged up 901 parts from the swamp lady in a drill press all the time. In fact that's all I used it for in the past several months.

I like the idea of a protective bushing for drop protection.
I was considering a modified tennis ball when I was vaping with the e-Cigars.
Kapow and it was dead (if the atty was hot for sure). $28 down the tubes.

How about some "turning" posts from some of our more "artistic" machinists?

And I use a lanyard alot more now.
Stehle's comment about "toilet fishing" sort of locked that in for me/

got my 510 in the mail today and it sucks having to wait 8 hours for it to charge! wanna use that badboy now! anyhow yes i ordered some juice to go with it and had a 25 ml bottle befor i ordered. also ordered an extra battery and atomizer. they were out of the pccs so i ordered elsewhere and its in the mail right now. seriously...yall think i have to wait the full 8 hours to use my 510?

I'm lovin my 510 but occasionally I will take a toke and cough up a lung! Usually only lasts for a few hits. What causes this?

You might be vaping a little too fast thereby allowing the atty to dry out - dry hits will burn and taste like ummmm errrr awful! Slow down, get in the groove, and allow the atty to wick more juice in.

It'll also tast bad and burn when your cart starts runnin' on empty.

No toilet problems yet but I ran a 510 through half a cycle in the washing machine. Saved the atty and cart but things aren't looking too good for the battery. Thankfully it was an older standart battery and not one of my fancy new mega batteries.

Gonna sun-dry the battery and hope for the best.

Generic is right, and you could also be getting a little raw juice sucked in with the vapor. Getting the hick-ups too? Take a break every so often, like draw in some real air. Vaping takes a little to get used to. You get excited about giving up those damn analogs, starting off on the "high road to something better", and overdo it (maybe?).
I couldn't "cold turkey" it when I started. It took me a couple of weeks. Some can.

Some also go though a disappointment phase where they don't think it's going to work for them, some I know even give up. Hang in there, it does work. Takes a little getting used to but IT WORKS.

What is the NIC strength for the Tobacco flavor from VtVapor are you using? He has several strengths. The 35mg/ml seems plenty strong to me.
Health Cabin has some Cigarette brand juices that tasted OK to me.

I like the vv 35mg tobbaco just the candy flavors seem a little weak ie cherry,blackberry,and champagne evry1 iz bragging about maybe it is like everyone says its a learning curve its not an analog. so guess i have to get that out of my head. It very well could be toasted taste buds. It took me about 2 weeks of vaping before it tatsed good. At first every juice I tried tasted funky or downright bad. I triedeverything from candy tofruit to tobacco and ever unflavored and they all really sucked.

I don't know exactlywhen it heppened but all of a sudden *Pow!* it clicked and tasted good! I can't tasted subtle differences now.

I also tend to vape a single flavor all day now whereas I was switching it up all the time in the beginning. I don't know if that makes a difference but maybe that might help you.

I've settled in a a few tobacco flavors that I like: 555/state Express, Dunhill, Hilton, and Cigar. I've found totally wicked to be very good juice as well as My Freedom Smokes. While i've had good luck wiht a couple others as well I've settled in with*those two for the most part.

I got pretty disgusted for the first two weeks or so but then all of a sudden it clicked and vaping tasted GOOD! Hang in there and it will get better! Isn't it awesome to breathe again? I don't cough in the morning, I can RUN up the stairs even! I was runnin all over the yard throwing a frisbee with my friend the other day and didn't get winded at all- it was amazing! I notiecd, the other day, that when I put on a clean shirt it smelled like laundry soap instead of smoke. Too cool!

Hey there!

I really like My Freedom's Dunhill, 555, and Hilton. They are all three tobacco flavors but they are a little more "exotic" than your typical Virginia, "Marlboro", etc types. For instance I find the 555 to have a sort of nutty flavor underneath the tobacco flavor. Just a hint of it- not over-powering. I've gotten some of them in 33% extra flavoring but i don't think he's offering that at the moment. He seems to change it up a lot and runs out perhaps a little too frequently.

I'm in Michigan (He's in NC I think) and I've gotten my orders within about 3 business days.

You *might* want to give him a call before you order to make sure he has what you want in stock or can mix it up for you. He's super-nice to talk to- a good ol' southern boy!

I like the fact that he carries 48mg juice as that is what it took to keep me off analogs. I'm getting my mind set to start weaning my nic down a little at a time pretty soon.
