I'm thinking of when vaping supplies become regulated they may either be banned or prices may skyrocket, leading to blackmarket or underground purchases only and still be expensive.
At least with a rebuildable you can always get what you need at a reasonable price and always have a way to vape.
And then there's always the looming ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

tek, don't trust them. You spell better than some russian guys  Stacking batts since 2010, and still alive!!!!
rebuildables are awesome. Yes, large one time $$ for those of us not talented enough to build from the ground up - but will pay for itself quickly, and as stated, will be around forever even if the others get banned in your country. Kanthal wire, stainless steel mesh to roll into a wick. It doesn't take any more time than cleaning out primer fluid from a vendor atty does. Just my 2 pennies.
This looks complicated - has anyone taken a dremel to a purchased atty yet ?
I've got to try to cut one of those in half - if I'm successful and still have all my fingers, I'll post it here
Doesn't have to be.
Here's two no soldering approaches.
Note that is not a Joye 510 (they have a rather small narrow cup and are a bear to pull apart.
