| Hello folks!
First post here, although I did spend a significant amount of time reading here before choosing my first purchase on an Ecig starter kit. I went with the pig cig from Lecig.com, bare bones basically, with an extra five pack of carts. It just arrived an hour ago, and of course I was really anxious to try it out!
I've smoked marlboro lights/ultralights and camel ultralights for several years now, and at the CS Reps suggestion (I believe it was Mike) I tried the hilton flavor carts at 16mg strength, and opted for a second pack of 11mg reds. I've only tried the hiltons so far, but WOW! I was blown away at the throat hit, and rendered slightly light headed immediately from the first hit. I'm not sure the flavor is entirely what I'm looking for, but I'm quite shocked at how closely it really mimics the smoking experience. I've watched several youtube vids of folks using the pigcig, and my first drag on it wasn't nearly as long as what I've seen from others, and I still coughed
I wanted to venture down this ecig road as much for money savings as for health reasons, right now my wife and I are blowing $59 a carton on camel ultralights, too much for a bad habit entirely. I'm hoping I can get some suggestions from the folks who've tried LeCig's flavors, and maybe comment on one that's close to the taste of camel or marlboro cigarettes, and also any other non traditional tobacco flavors as well. If I can find something that she can comfortably switch to, we may be ordering a second kit in the near future, and she was more interested in the chocolate, mocha, and fruit flavors. I'll likely be ordering my first bottle of juice this week after I try my other pack of carts, and depending on responses here. Any useful tips on refilling, the easiest way, how many refills a cart can take till it's shot, etc, would be greatly appreciated also
Off to have a second go
The pleased new vaper from York, PA

| Wow, welcome to the forum.
Your off to a great start with the pigcig. I'm guessing Mike talked you into "cartomizers" instead of atomizers and cartridges? If you are careful not to vape the filler material dry and scorch it you can refill then maybe 20 times. There are threads here on refilling and Mike has some videos that you can watch. Take your time and don't give up, even if you backslide a little. Get the wife on an e-cig pronto. Harder than hell to make the change with a smoker in the house
It may take a little while to get used to vape flavor, just like it took a while to get used to your favorite cigarette flavor. Sample packs offered by several vendors might be a way to start.
Good luck,
Rocket

| I wouldn't say I was talked into it :P I was originally suggested the D1, and after we talked for a bit, the pigcig sounded better for me. I've read a lot from folks who went the cheap route, on the internet and off (friends) and were sorely disappointed with the product they recieved, so I figured I'd not get dazzled into a low priced kit and go with something that sounded right for me even if it was a bit salty. I like the battery life and longevity that the pigcig is reputed to offer. I know a bit about the difference between the 2pc and 3pc kits, I went with convenient initally, but Lecig's site looked like they had atomizers and blank carts to fit the pig cig also, so if I decide to switch, I don't mind spending a bit more. Once I find my perfect juice, and perfect style, simply letting the savings roll in will make it all worthwhile |

| Welcome Rob. Congrats on your first kit. Mike is great at lecig. His Reds or Tobacco juice was closest to a Marlboro or Winston that I have tried. I also like his RY4 and Virgina which is a sweeter tobacco flavor. I have not tried his fruit/coffee type flavors but hear they are pretty good. Vapor Renu has a wide selection of flavors and are very inexpensive. Just stay away from waffles and bacon I hear. I have recently tried their pear, big red, and cotton candy which are all good but taste is very subjective so what I may like others may not. RY4 blends have been a favorite (tobacco, caramel, sometimes vanilla/nut flavors added) but no two suppliers ry4 taste the same so go figure...
Refilling: If it is just 1 or 2 I am refilling, I just pop the end top off and drop about 8-10 drops of liquid down along the side onto the poly. If I have several or starting from blanks, (reg size cartos) I use a rubber end (condom) that comes on the ends of a new carto. Put about 15 drops of juice in it then insert the carto, mouth end down into the condom to absorb the juice. If you see liquid begin to come out the connector end, stop there. Be sure to wipe off excess juice around the outside of the carto and/or juice from your hands....
As far as how long the carto lasts depends on juices. Some really gum up (clog) cartos quickly. I clean mine once a week but I am a germ fanatic... I will rinse them out under running hot water then boil a few minutes. When done, blow through the top to get excess water out and stand up to dry out. Some I have used for over a month without any problems so just depends. Mikes 808s have lasted me a month or more.

| Welcome Fellow Vaper!!! Glad to have you here, There are really a lot of very high quality Vendors out there of Juices. One of my Personal Favorites is Liquidemporium. I like their Menthol and other flavors a lot. Also Pink Spot makes a great Honey Cured Tobacco, although I have not tried any of their other flavors it is one of my personal favorites for a tobacco flavored vape.
Congratulations on the switch and doing the research to bypass the less effective and lower quality E-Cigs.

| Berger, I assume the White Rose Vapors meet at the White Rose bar and grill, which conveniently is a block down from my regular local pub, I'll have to pop in there and ask about the group.
Thanks already for the suggestions on juices and esellers, I'm keeping a list of all the suggestions so I have a good base to try new stuff out from little by little.
Thanks for the tip on cleaning also RY4, I would have been hesitant initally to get them wet, let alone boil them to make them last longer! |

Plenty of folks with good advice here. All the different stuff out there can get very confusing sometimes. |

| Welcome, rglass! You made a good choice with the pigcig. Mike is great guy and good to deal with.
The drag: took me 3 days to figure out how to draw on my first ecig and not cough myself silly. Keep at it, you'll get there.
Refilling those cartos.... Rocket is right ( he usually always is), don't let the filler dry out. When mine gets pretty white but still tastes ok, i pop off the mouthpiece and put in about ten drops at a time (s-l-o-w-l-y) down the sidewall, then wait about ten minutes and go at it again. I've put as much as 40 drops in a mega carto to refill. Patience is the problem. wait about 30minutes at least for it to settle in.

| Oh also Rglass...you will find some e-juice will crud up cartos way faster then others..so if you are getting a short life on them maybe another flavor or supplier will make a big difference for you..

| Another good tip on cartos: If you buy a (5) pack I would only use one for each flavor.
For instance I never mix flavors when I vape with cartomizers. Menthol always remains menthol and coffee always remains coffee. |

| Ditto on the PigCig. I started with a stock 510 and the vaping time wasn't enough.

| Welcome Rob.
Glad you decided to join the party, and congratz on your vaping decision as well.
Sounds like you did your homework, and that's half the battle to success.
I'm pretty new here myself, but already this place feels like home.
The people here are some of the friendliest and knowledgable I've come across on any board.
Good luck with the Mrs.! |

| Thanks for all the advice on stretching the cartos, after the flavor hopping is done and we've settled on something we like, I'll definately keep them separate for the long haul. I'm becoming curious though, I know when the carts start to have a burnt taste, they're pretty much used up, that's kind of how my first tasted straight out of the box, it took several uses to start to taste the flavor strongly, and it looked bright white to begin with. I presume this is normal? |

| Are you refilling the cartos?..if they get too dry they start tasting burnt...you really dont want let them get to that point if you want to get the most life out of them...
Yea the filler should start out white...however the prefilled ones are not really filled to the max...for shipment and expansion of liquid reasons..once you get that burnt taste going its pretty much wasted the carto...
nic does not add flavor..it may increase TH though depending..
