Is it possible to quit smoking through natural methods, I mean without using those nicotine patch or medications. I don’t have much faith in medications.

That would be cold turkey. It's worked for others, not for me.
You'll need a lot of willpower!

Yes it is possible to quit smoking through natural methods, only it requires a good effort from your side and also a suitable plan to stick to, because lack of a plan is likely accountable for almost 90% of the failed attempts to quit smoking. You can get useful tips at Stop Smoking | Quit Smoking | Smoking Cessation , a site completely dedicated to help people to quit smoking.

You could certainly use e-cigarettes instead of regular smokes. I'm not sure what your endgame is but this is almost certainly better then inhaling smoke byproducts.

Drink at least 1.5-2 liters of water, mineral broths, and herbal teas daily. Adequate fluid intake is essential for replenishing and counteracting the effects of the heating, drying, and acidifying effects of smoking.

When stopping smoking, you should avoid white sugar and white flour products such as flour breads, candy, pastries, cookies, soda, and sugary juices. These foods deplete nutrients and create an acid condition in the body. Stay away from highly processed and prepared foods. In addition, avoid deep fried foods, margarines, lard, and commercial oils, because they generate inflammatory and oxidative reactions.

Dont forget to eliminate all forms of nicotine in your body.

Dont eat any tomatos, potatos, eggplant, chili peppers, mushrooms or any fresh produce at all including all fruits and nuts as these are all pest controlled by using nicotine based pesticides.

Its sad but stopping nicotine dependency is harsh with all the nicotine we eat already.

lol @ Primus! Tomato plants and tobacco plants are very closely related. You don't want to smoke the seedy fruit part though ... stick with the leaves.

I quit cold turkey in November 2007 and made it to February or March 2009. I have a back injury from a work accident( I was laid off the next day). The insurance company for my former employer has been trying to ignore me. Some days My back and sides hurt like nothing I've ever felt. Between the anger, frustration, and pain I started smoking again. I'm a recovering drug addict, so I shy away from strong painkillers. What was working for me, was to take 800mg ibuprophen with a piece of bread and coffe in the mornings. I had quit coffee along with smokes in '07 as it was a trigger for smoke.

Back to the subject. . . . along with abstaining from coffee, I used many cinnamon products to cut the cravings for cigs. That and I got really pissed about big tobacco. I also got angry with 'bumming'. You may have experienced this. People bum cigs off you all month, but when you run out nobody has one. These are the things that kept me smoke free for over a year. I wouldn't have started back, but cigs had been my crutches for many years, and I chose going back to smoking them as opposed to abusing drugs and alcohol.

The cinnamon works well to cut your cravings It may take two or three or more attempts, but you can quit. Nicotine is supposed to be expelled from your system, after three days without it. Oh and try to avoid falling through floors.

I can believe this wasn't mentioned but don't drink. There isn't a single time I want a cig more than after a few beers.

Also about the tomatoes, I am a student and I worked on a farm during the summer. We weren't allowed to smoke near the tomatoes and potatoes, because they can get Tabacco mosiac from processed tobacco.

you know a cinnamon ejuice might just be the ticket to getting rid of any cravings for a cigarette, might be a big help for people who are new to vaping also. i no longer have the cravings, but a cinnamon juice sure does sound good, maybe with a lil orange mixed in!

The determination makes the decision. But I think if you are heavy smoker, it's not easy to quit it totally without the helping of other things.
