But Mamu was not the first person to build this mod.
Several people in the UK actually started the trend.
And the reason that the DM is where it is, is because the box itself has an indentation the same size as a digital display, probably there for OEM labels.
Granted, Mamu's design is very nice and its certainly functional, but I've seen others that are superior, IMO.
Like one's containing an internal charging board and micro flush-mounted on/off switches and/or touch switches.
It's still a fantastic mod and I'm sure that you have many long years of enjoyable use with it! | Cool, You got some links to those other mods? Can you find any stainless knobs like Denali's? |

| Also, I know she started out using the 510 adapter from Madvapes, but then changed to something sturdier-

If you mean rocker switches, those can be found almost anywhere. Digikey or Mouser will have them.
But if you're wanting a stainless steel guitar potentiometer, I suggest looking at custom guitar shops for those.
And as far as links go, they're in multiple older threads over at the big forum.
Otherwise newer one's, there's this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kKcJ..._order&list=UL
And then of course Breaktru's design: http://breaktru.com/smf/index.php/topic,380.0.html
But the UK guys have been building these for awhile.... |

Seems kinda silly when 2400, 2600, all the way up to 3100mAh ones are available.

Seems kinda cool, room for a pair of 16340s or maybe 18350s and a reg in the top and maybe even a volt meter.
And I gotta disagree with ya about 'better' versions of Mamu's mod, I have yet to see anyone who pays as much attention to all the small details.

| And dual members (VF and here) keep an eye on Mamus threads regarding ZACK- BB won one in a contest and is showing pics...seems to be some interest...I staked my claim to a future production (if she ever decides to make it)

Mamu told me to change the batteries at 6.6 unloaded. Only dropped 1 volt in 52 hours vaping. Do I really need more mah? |

Right, I agree | Robert - Lots of electronics stores have knobs for pots. All shapes and materials. You just have to make sure the shaft is keyed the same and the right diameter. SS are readily available. I have seen them at Fry's and EPO (Electronics Parts Outlet - Clear Lake area local electronics store) But you can find them many places. Chrome plated plastic is going to be easier to find but, SS or Alu. is not exactly rare. Finding a good local electronics store is my suggestion. The Houston and surrounding has fewer than one would think for such a large city but, they are hidden all over. EPO for example has momentary switches exactly like MVs for a third the price also.

I don't want to mess anything up trying to put on a shiny knob.. If I f up the shaft I'm screwed....Can't get another one of these!
So thanks but I'm fine. |

So thanks but I'm fine. | If it ever comes down to it, Robert....you can make one yourself for very little money.
Or hire a modder in here to build it for ya?
I just finished doing a Co-Op for the enclosures, which are actually the most difficult part to obtain....at a reasonable cost.
All in all, you could obtain most of the parts through free samples here: **FREE COMPONENT SHOPPING SPREE!!***
But if you wanted to use the Murata chip, they're not expensive at all and are actually quite reasonable: http://search.digikey.com/us/en/prod...2179ND/2199629
Displays are pretty cheap here, confirmed seller, bought 4 myself: http://www.ebay.com/itm/F00077-Volta...item1e699646d3
And high quality 18650's can be obtained here, confirmed seller, also bought 4 of their tabbed version: http://www.ebay.com/itm/12x-TENERGY-...item53ea7c94b9
Marrs Inc. also has the PCB batteries, but they usually sell out really fast so you gotta keep an eye on their stock.
Otherwise, if you're willing to build the unit yourself using Mamu's schemtic, you could make one for about $30 or less in parts, including your batteries! |

| If you can leave the toggles off, do it! Mine suffered a moment of near catastrophic result when it turned itself on in a place it shouldnt have been (my bag)- luckily, the only loss was a cartomizer, the electronics held up, though now my connector is crooked-

Rich thick vapor, no voltage cut out I can tell, well made, been using the same batteries 4 days now only went from 8.4 to 7.1 total volts unloaded. They aren't for sale, she made a limited number and I was lucky to get one. |
