Ok so far its hasnt been stellar. I need to start logging my stuff a little more frequent than I have been. Going to use this thread to monitor my progress of mixing. I Have no way any experience on this other than what I have been researching threw websites and forums such as Vapeatron.

ATTENTION - All my flavors come from Wizards Labs.

My first 3 flavors werent the best.

Im going to leave certain areas blank so I can put up my notes as I go:

555

Brand: FA

Mix: 70PG/30VG

Nic Lvl: 12mg

Flavor: 15% 555

Amount: 5ml

This was the first mix I tried. This ended up becoming so perfumey strong I was told by several members to dillute it. What I did was mix the same batch with no flavor in it and mix it together. Eventually making a 10ml batch of this stuff and cutting in theory the flavor down to 7.5%. I still think this stuff is very perfumey and has been steeping 4 days so far. Will let it steep for about a week and check back.

Double Chocolate

Brand: FA

Mix: 50/50

Nic Lvl: 12mg

Flavor: 10% dbl Choc

Amount: 5ml

I wanted to try a 50/50 mix and just decided on chocolate for the hell of it. So far this was the most successful mix I done so far. Im not sure how I feel about the 50/50 mix. I do think it needs more choco taste but it does taste very good right now. At the current level it totally reminds me of nice chocolate milky frosting. I think next time raise it to 15% and see how it goes. There is very minimal throat hit which I really dont mind being chocolate. So far this isnt a very bad mix at all. Will let this steep and post any updated info.

Vanilla/Cotton Fair Candy

Brand: Vanilla - FA , Cotton Fair Candy - LA

Mix:70PG/30VG

Nic Lvl: 12mg

Flavor: Vanilla 8% Cotton Candy 8%

Amount: 5ml

Wow! I feel like I need a trip to the dentist after this one! Not sure if I would be bring down the vanilla or the cotton candy. Both I feel are sweeteners but it can go either way. Myself I would prob prefer the cotton candy down to 2% with more Vanilla. This was way too sweet for me off the bat. Going to let this steep some before trying again.

Note - 2 days of steeping seems to already help with the strong sweetness of the aroma.

Cola

Brand: FA

Mix:65PG/35VG

Nic Lvl: 12mg

Flavor: Cola 8%

Amount: 5ml

This was my first lean to getting toward 50/50. Not sure if I even notice a differece from 70/30. This def tastes like cola. Not sure If I am a fan of this flavor by itself. Will have to experiment with some vanilla and cherry with this one. Wonder if adding Vanilla will get a creme soda taste.

New Recipes - 1/12/2012

GRAPE

555

Brand: FA

Mix: 60PG/40VG

Nic Lvl: 12mg

Flavor: 8% Grape

Amount: 5ml

I think this grape rocks and at this mix tastes just like Grape Koolaide. You can also add some redbull to make this one pop too. This has become a daily vape for me and my friends for sure.

Will start mixes with flavor at 5% and slowly work myself up.

Thanks TK for posting. I recently discovered I like chocolate for vaping but have been mixing it with tobacco flavors I have such as ry4 and 555. Very good. The chocolate milky frosting sounds yummy. I haven't gotten into DIY yet but got bored with my juices I suppose so I started mixing them up.

50/50 mix - Im still on the fence on this. I do notice more vapor but it is more a dry taste I notice than from 70/30. Since I use Boge cartos I dont think going higher in VG is wise. I already found it really thick at 50/50 for cartos. From what I hear mostly VG isnt good for them either.

I've used 100% VG in cartos, including boges without any problems. I think much depends on the juice itself. I've had PG 80% juices clog up cartos and vice versa. Some of that VG stuff can get real thick though and take forever to soak into the poly fill.

Just made

RY4

Mix: 70vg/30pg

Nic Lvl: 12mg

Flavor: 10% RY4

Amount: 5ml

Just made this will let it sit a day or two before trying. Yea Im all over with my base mixes lol.

***Also just dripped a little bit of the 555 mix I made previous. Think this one really needs to steep a week or two. Flavors are already starting to smooth out.

I use the condom method on filling my Boge's. So far I get a lot out of them around 60 puffs or so. Not really exact just an approximate.

Ok I think my high ratio of VG is wearing off on me lol. I think it was the huge amount of vapor I was getting that got me all excited. Now Im really starting to miss some flavor. Think I will stick with 50/50 mix or stay with 70pg/30vg.

I have used 100 vg, now its thick but not a problem, esp after a few drags.. Now What is a problem is there is some thing in the flavorings, dont matter if it is 100 vg dark e juice, or 100 pure pg e juice, its the flavorings that kill a carto..

I love my 50/50 best of both worlds for me..

Not neccessarily.
Read the full descriptions for each flavoring.

Some are Flavor Apprentce.
Some are LorAnn's.
Some are Seedmans's.

I'll be adding Flavour Arts, Capella's and CK's in limited quantities soon.
I'm always on the lookout for new flavorings and can't wait til Mrs. Wiz let's me expand the lab so I can start mixing my own.
Sigma-Aldrich has most of the flavoring chemicals, character notes, contributory notes, and differential notes that anyone would need for developing flavors.
God only knows the new levels for CFOA you could reach with that kind of access.

Description just show contents doesnt say where they from or am I not seeing something?

Sorry Tony, I meant on the site, not on the label.
I looked at the flavors you got and all are Flavor Apprentice except the 10% menthol in PG solution which is Wizard Labs, and the County Fair Cotton Candy which is LorAnn's.

I guess it really depends on which flavor from which company..some of which contain things you mat want to avoid...

Hi Cindy, congratz on deciding to get adventuresome with your juice journey.
To answer your question, there really is no "best" flavoring mfg.
Most of the concentrated food flavorings are on a par with each other.

Where they differ is in personal taste.
A flavor chemist has so many options available to make a particular flavoring that no two will be exactly alike.
You may find you love the root beer flavoring from LorAnn's, but hate the one from Capella, or vice versa.

Some flavorings by an mfg will seem extremely strong compared to other flavors by the same mfg.
That's mainly to do with the types of chemical components used to make the flavor profile as opposed to an overall strength level by that mfg.

There are flavoring vendors out there that sell diluted flavorings, but they should be advertising it prominently that theirs are NOT "concentrated" flavorings.
So long as you stick with the main flavoring companies, (LorAnns, The Flavor Apprentice, Flavour Arts, Capella, etc.) you can be sure you're getting your money's worth.

Been really busy lately and haven't forgotten any of ya! Will be tapping into some of these juices in the next few days or so. This will have given some a week to steep.

Berger you will def enjoy what Wiz hooks you up with. I couldn't have been more impressed from start to finish ordering from him. You can tell when people care in what they do and he really does. You will know that from the moment you open that box up.

I am hoping the 555 calmed down and tastes like what its suppose to taste like. Not so much hope for the marlbaro though made without any tobacco extract. Will see how the sweetness of the Vanilla/Cotton Candy has calmed down any further as well as over all flavor profile on these.

sweet tart is really interesting...tried a 14% sweet tart .5% black cherry, .1% strawberry & .1% cotten candy...very interesting and some serious a55 after taste...very much like a sweet tart candy....big time change of pace....
and the packaging as usual looks like it was designed to withstand direct drop off...from the space station....USPS handling criteria worthy..
