| Ok, so 2+ months in, Ive tried a bunch of different styles. Ive learned a ton, started a forum, got friends and pals to try them, and gone through technical issues such as dead atomizers, crapped out batteries, and more. So I'm gonna say what I liked and didn't like in the various e-cigarettes I've tried so far. They are...
RN4081 (Super E-Cigarette, Super Mini, PeeWee)
DSE901 (Mini E-Cig, Pocket Mini, etc)
RN4075 (Mini E-Cig, Pocket Mini, etc)
Janty Mini Fogger
M401 (Pilot) RN4081 was my first. Got it from a kiosk in the mall. Had issues when starting. Carts were low in nicotine. Then got a PeeWee from Puresmoker and some juice. Dripping with this was good. Had multiple atomizer and battery failures. 4 batteries so far (3 from kiosk guy, 1 from puresmoker) and about 6 atomizer failures (3 from kiosk guy, 2 from puresmoker, 1 from Totally Wicked).
However, I believe that those failures were from a faulty battery that was shorting out the atomizers, sending too much power to them or something. Once I realized they were crapping out from using that assy battery, and tossed the battery, I didn't have any failures for a while. Then another battery starting acting up, and I think that then fried the other 2 atomizers before I realized same thing was going on. Been using batteries from Puresmoker and Totally Wicked with the same atomizer now for about 3 or 4 weeks, no problems.
While using my 4081, got a 901 from Puresmoker, which is really a 4075 (woah, wtf was that sentence). I loved it at first, because I was having so many problems with the 4081. It was smooth consistent, and with the usb passthrough and an APC power pack, it was pumping out strong vapor. Over time though, I realized I needed a hotter vapor, harsher kick. I still use it, but not when I am in "need to vape right now" mode. Like, any time I have that "need a cigarette" type feeling from the analog days, I do not go to my 901. Janty Mini Fogger. Didn't like it. Its battery life is like an hour, 1.5 max. The cut off was so short compared to how I had trained myself to e-smoke, with long deep drags. I couldn't get a hot harsh kick in the throat with it. Plus, it has the raised atomizer, which makes it a pain in the ass to drip with. So that's never been and is not in my rotation, sitting in a box somewhere.
Got a real DSE901 as well. 1 Battery and the atomizer died within 1.5 weeks. Have 1 battery left. Use it here and there with my 4075 sutff. Performed the same as the 4075 Puresmoker stuff. But the parts failed quick. Got it in a trade, no where to return things to easily. M401 - Like it. I want to use it more, but 3 things keep me from it. #1 - I have old stock batteries apparently, so the cut off time on one of them is ridiculous. If you inhale 2 times in a row, like a primer puff then a long one, it shuts off for a long time. I dunno if it's 30 seconds or 1 / 2 minutes, but it's longer than I can take. So, I have to inhale in one super deep, super long inhale to get the amount of vapor and heat I need. #2 - It has a raised atomizer, so dripping that way is a pain. #3 - The carts need to be popped out with a paperclip or pin, filled, then pushed back down. That, or drip down the cart and hope you hit the center - otherwise its a mouth full of juice. Plus, the carts are small, so it doesn't hold a lot of liquid, so that has to be done often.
That being said, when all things are working right, the kick and vapor it gives is nice. Little dry, but good. 1 step below the PeeWee style in harshness. For me, good PeeWee alternative. So, final answer - The 4081/PeeWee/Super Mini! Who woulda thunk it. So many people over on ECF talked junk on that thing, and that type of e-cig. Thats why I went to a 901 and others. But, I just keep coming back. It has a cylinder atomizer, so I can drip easy. It has good to great vapor production, especially when you hold one of the atomizer holes closed with your thumb. It produces HOT vapor, closest to smoking. When there are no technical issues going on, this is my #1 so far.
Downfalls of the 4081 - Lots of bum parts, quality control seems off. Batteries and/or atomizers can crap out easy. Battery life is max 3 hours, with a 4 hour charge time. Charger - turns "green" signaling full charge, in like 10 minutes, even tho it needs 4 hours. Can't use carts - they get in the way of the vapor getting to you, well beyond what it should be doing. Empty cap and dripping only.
But, I would rather pay for replacement parts every 2 weeks and get a kick ass vape than to have a unit that doesn't break and doesn't satisfy me.
For the record, I smoked 2 packs of mini-cigars a day before this, and before that, 2 packs of Marlboro Mild/Newport a day. I also tried to quit 6 times or so over the years, and at one point did a high AND medium nicotine patch WITH gum at the same time and it didn't work.
I also vape 3 drops of juice every 30 minutes, with not much down time between vaping sessions. AKA, a 3-4 puffs every 5-10 minutes, no down time. ALL DAY. So my usage and needs are different than the average smoker, or vaper.
If you are a light smoker, then a 901 or similar unit may be your perfect thing. But I need that hot, harsh kick with easy drip capability. And the 4081 is all that's doing it for me right now.
Anyway, thought I'd share. Later! |

| I have a DSE901 and a Pilot. I've really liked the 901, it hits smooth and works well. The only downfall is that myself and a friend each had a bad battery right off the bat. I sent them to Puresmoker for a replacement but haven't heard anything back. Strange for them.
The Pilot got me all excited, it was getting rave reviews and the round carts were supposed to feel more like a real cigarette. Unfortunately it hits hard...really hard. For someone who smoked Marlboro reds or Camel non-filters, the Pilot may not be as harsh. However, for a 1/2 pack a day Marlboro Ultra Light smoker like me, it's a bit much. I'm still using it on occasion, but I'm waiting to get some empty carts to see if different juice will hit differently. I hate to say it, but maybe the Pilot works TOO well...lol.
That's my take on these models. For now, the Pilot is a backup. |

| So, final answer - The 4081/PeeWee/Super Mini!
That is a shocker! I might have to pick one of those up
Actually, when I was in the market for my first ecig, I found the black PeeWee super sweet. It is just so dashing. I shied away from it probably because the DSE901 had so many good reviews about it. I don't doubt my first purchase of my DSE901 though. I have also found that amount of vapor does not equal "quality" vapor; loongtotem, what a joke.
I bought a super-mini on a whim from Deal Extreme, but I can't really tell what model it is. I got it 'cause it looked like a M401, but maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be a 4081/PeeWee clone . It's definately on the slow boat from China though. I placed my order on Feb 5th and it didn't ship out until Feb 25th. Hongkong Post claims 5 - 14 days for shipping. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, so 14 days from the 25th (not counting weekends) is April 14th. When I get it, I'll be sure to post my initial review. Doesn't really matter, it will be hard pressed to knock out my current leader dog the Joye302 |

| That looks like a 401 to me. Or 401esqe. Definitely performs different than the 4081 tho.
I think I may try the DSE 84-103's next, see if they compare. |

| Got my Deal Extreme ecig today! Probably just in time since they BANNED!!! ecigs in Hong Kong . WTF is up with that? Just in case anyone cares, the address on the package is: Hung Hom,Kow Loon,Hong Kong. So, ya, definately came from HK.
Interesting Customs Declaration tag. It says "Package Contains: Gift". Then it says "Cigar Pipes and Cases" in the description .
My quick analysis tells me it is a M401; exposed rounded atomizer. Packaging and ecig look just like the pictures here. I'll post a full review in a couple of days. |

| Yeah, I have a 401 too. While good, I still have to go with the 4081 as my tops right now. |
