came out of what end, the charger or the pig? i am guessing the charger.. You could unplug it, and maby re solder it tougher, and use some epoxy to fix it good..

well, there is a nother way.. If you find the right positive and negitive contacts to the charger.. you could charge the pig cig, if you have a soldering iron.. Its not that bad... i have charged bigger batts with the board in a mod. so it will work.. You just have to be carefull, and know what one is positive and negitive. Btw centerpin positive..

NO! Don't use a pliers...you'll trash it!

Use a latex glove or "something latex" to grip the smooth surface of that adapter....and if it won't twist off, that means your threads are stripped.

And you're pretty much SOL if they're stripped....

I was just thinking maybe not bust it up too bad if he has to send it in for a swap out. Might not be as handy as the Tekanator.

Just why do we keep blaming China for all the problems?

Lead in cast children toys? How about lead paint and asbestos in schools? PCBs in water bottles? Who'd a thunk kids would eat everything? Next thing you know we are gonna have to lock up the Draino to keep kids from drinking it. The U.S. allows "acceptable" levels of poisons and broken glass in juice and baby foods.

My step son keeps breaking off the charge connector on his laptop, his cell phone, his Xbox. Since he can't fix them, he has to buy new ones. In fact, he had a new charger for his laptop FedEx'd here. $90 charger sent here in Louisiana, when he's in Texas. Now I have to send it to him so he can communicate with his 450 Facebook friends.

We learn how to break or blame. "Wut, I didn't do nuthin, it jus broke"

Van, Mike is the great guy that owns LeCig! He'll help you out. Now, of it happens that you screwed up and did something crazy that broke it, you'll have to pay for a new one (maybe). If not, mike will take good care of you. BTW, just like with your computer, it always pays to have a backup.

It sounds like he was using a 510 charger and an adapter to charge his PigCig.

"pluz, the metal piece will NOT come off of my adapter no matter what i do"

While that can work, if screwed on tight the adapter could bind in the charger and be the problem.
Mike may not be able to help here.

Van, once you get things straightened out, be very careful on screwing things together. Learn to get a 'feel' for how tight things need to be.

Best wishes

I know of one female, bless her heart, that has a very similar problem. I have to go behind her and 'fix' things all the time.

It's a real shame the Chinese can't make "American Proof" products

A humorous visualization: We are enjoying working on this old property I have. The place hasn't been lived in for about 10 years, and needs all kinds of repairs. The swamplady tries to keep the "workplace" safe and clean as we go. So, there was this old piece of 1 inch PVC pipe stinking out of the ground (part of the old plumbing), she tries to take it to toss it in the dumpster, breaks it off below ground level. The place has a "flow well". Guess what the pipe was connected to Luckily there was a cutoff out behind the barn.

OK.. I am talking about China because just about everything we buy is made there. I fix things, that Americans break, that they made, on a daily basis for many people. Its junk. Shoes, electronics, well anything. I put together a $300 outdoor propane heater yesterday (two actually) I had to reinforce several places just to make sure it did not kill someone in a year. If you are ok with their goods falling apart in a year... or a week.. great. We must be. We throw everything away. US as a whole I mean.

I am not saying all things should be ID10T proof. That is impossible. But on the flip side it should not break from the tiniest stress.

Van likely did something wrong. I get what your saying. But to say China crap is not crap.. Come on. My personnel experience is China stuff in general gives people a headache. And yeah its our fault.

K no more CHINA bashin'

A common problem with most water in the Louisiana southeast is the sulfur smell to water sourced from artesian wells. I was raised in Slidell and it took a few years to get used to it The one on this property seems to come from a different aquifer and doesn't smell much or I can't smell ).

It's 1880 ft deep and was put down for a group of families that never came through with their share, so they get shallow well water. The interesting part is the 15 psi well pressure. I had to modify fixtures for higher flow from the low pressure. Got real good with a dremel on valve disks to change the profile.

And my apologies to Van for implying he did something wrong. Stuff breaks, we sometimes help it to break

And my apologies to all the hard working American union workers out there for what I think about a lot of American made products. Some good, some not so good.
