| As I'm just about to hit my 2 year vaping mark I thought I'd jot down a little bit of what I've learned.
1. You are over vaping. Even if you think your not, you are. Over vaping is the leading cause of death of an atomizer.
2. Always try a dry burn first. It's quick and you know right away if it worked.
3. A blow dryer will dry an atty really fast.
4. We have ALL lost them before. Have a good cry then move on.
5. Juice burns like the dickens if you get it in your eye. Even the smallest amount.
6. Spare parts are a way of life...don't bitch, it's still cheaper then real cigs.
So how is everyone doing? I see we have new moderators. I better watch what I say around here now....

| Sure fire way to get a nic-fix...
1. Drop your "E-Z Refill tool"
2. Try to stop it like you stop all falling things from hitting the floor...jam you legs together...
3. Jab the filling end into your left thigh...
4. Hit the plunger with your right thigh...
5. Sit back and enjoy the ride!!!

| Actually, I've been wondering about the whole cost issue. If you were to buy an eGo kit, you'd be starting off with some pretty nice training wheels; but how much would you be spending on cigarettes in perspective to how much you currently spend on juice and supplies? I keep seeing those "I have saved 'X' amount of money" banners and I just can't help but think how inaccurate that is. I know you are spending a decent amount of what you would be spending, but how much is the difference, and in whose court?

| Well, I look at it this way. Even if I spent the same as I spent on analogs I AM still way ahead just for the health reasons, even though I know I haven't spent anywhere near that much

I have cut my smoking in half so i am ahead by a few dollars. and now that i have the carto's 2 extra auto bats and several samples of eliquid I know my costs will even out. I love my 510 and the liquid i have from liberty but i am now looking for something with a diff taste. I know when i find the right eliquid I will have to get some at 24 mg or higher to replace the nic level I am used to but so far so good I think.
though I am not like some who quit when they first got their ecigs. I am still kinda proud that i have cut down and not killed my family.... |

| I used to smoke 3 packs per day. That's ~21 packs per week. There's no question in my mind about saving money! I could spend $100 every week and be ahead. Now that I know what I need for vaping, I might drop a couple hundred bucks every other month, and half that is for atomizers. I mix most of my own juice, and my $4 batteries last for months at a time (usually).
I haven't bought a pack of cigarettes in like 15 months. Wow. |

For the OP......Congrats on 2 years and nice observations/advice. |

| I was smoking a carton a week of Marlboro's at about $45 a week, $180 a month, $2350 a year. I now spend about $30 every two weeks on vaping, sometimes a little more, sometimes less, but about $30. I still have the occasional analog, I go through about a pack every two weeks at $5 a pack. So figure $17.50 a week, $70 a month, $910 a year . . . I'm saving big. And I don't have to spend that thirty every two weeks, usually I'm just getting new flavors, or trying a new technology . . . .with analogs, if I didn't spend that $40 a week, I was going to be hell to live with. With my personal vaporizers, I have enough stuff to buy nothing for a month or two if I have to, if we are tight on cash.

I was rolling my own using a machine and tubes; when I first started doing that it was about $0.70 a pack. Then the Feds increased tobacco taxes, and the state did likewise. I think they used the same algorithm they used to determine the "street value" of drugs when they levied the tax, because I paid $20 a pund, and when I went to get another pound 2 weeks later it was $75!!!!
NH is a stone's trow, so it was $36 for 12 oz, and packs locally were $8.75. Now it costs me about $0.65 a day to vape. But, I have been smoking more...4-7 cigs a day...

Perfect drop, heheh: Finagles Law states that the perversity of the universe tends towards the maximum. I once droped an ice cube while digging a handful from the freezer, and an edge landed perfectly square on top of my (bare) big toe, and cut a 1" slice in the skin like a papercut. It only bled a couple of drops, but dang, how weird. An ice cube. I once rolled a Dodge Colt 3 times at 70 mph, no seatbelt, and the only blood I lost was a couple of drops from an almost identical cut on my forefinger (the rest of me hurt quite a bit more, though).
I'll probably die in a marshmallow accident, immediately after surviving a plane crash.

I took a day off from work one day because I threw my back out over the weekend. Took a sick day. I could have gone in but it was a 2 hour ride and just didn't feel like it.
When I went in the next day a friend told me I should have gone in...they were doing some construction work on another part of the building, above the electrical distribution center, and a guy dropped a rebar from 30 feet and it went directly into a dime sized hole in a transformer, pretty much shutting the place down. They sat in the cafeteria for two hours and then went home with full pay...
