I've had three of these, I loved them! Nobody believes you when you tell them you can race an omni/horizon . . .
But they had crappy aluminum heads that blew all the time, and every time you had them planed off, you reduced the volume of the combustion chamber, and increased the compression . . . they just got faster and faster.
I got out of a ticket once because a cop said he clocked me at 123, I told him his radar had to be wrong and pulled out my owners manual saying that the car topped out at 107 mph
I changed head gaskets on these cars so many times I got to where I could pull the head, get it planed, replace the gaskets and have it back together and running again in less than 3 hours. Waiting on the machine shop to plane the head was always the longest part.
