I'm looking for these caps/plugs. The place where I was getting them is getting a different version with smaller fingers. These are either 7/8" or 3/4", can't remember, but either should suffice. If you see these in your wanderings, let me know where, or I can paypal $$$ if you can pick them up and send them!

They're called hole plugs, end caps, etc. I use them in the flashlights I make Atty Smashers with for the end that holds the atomizer connector. They are removable (it's a BIOTCH!) but if a connector goes bad (hey, it happens, esp when you Vise Grip the atties on) you can pry it out and install a new connector.

Homer doesn't carry this size any more, neither does Aubuchon's. They're all like this now
I think Fastenal had them, but they closed the local store.

Hole plugs, usually for plugging holes that are visible. Like end caps and such.

Most common use is to plug knock out holes in electrical boxes so they can be salvaged.
I've got a couple dozen Steam but they are the newer type.

Yeah, those are the ones I'm finding more and more. The long ones are getting hard to find. Can you guess where the long ones were made, and where the short ones are made?

Aren't those also used for small conduit boxes? I've seen quite a few conduit boxes that have random holes in them and seen some with caps in said holes.

well the electric knock outs aren't usually chrome like that. They are too small for stainless sink knock outs. That's why I was asking where they came from.

Actually, that's what they're listed as a lot of the time. Sink plugs, that is.

No luck, eh? If you're on a trip to the hardware store, look in the 'fasteners' section. I really need these, about 10 of them...

They don't stay in as well, and can pop out too easily. When you plant one of these, it's PLANTED! No worries about it popping out on you.

Those long fingers really grab! You have to pry it out, I even put a nick in one of the weaker Atty Smashers trying to get it out!

Certainly is cool, and wouldn't pop out, but how the heck would you make the connections?
