There's a mini-mod that you can make yourself that'll attach to your batt and give you its current voltage. One of these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/320802866563...84.m1423.l2649

I listed the enclosure I used in the Free Components thread, under Hammond enclosures, comment #7, part number 1551NTBU:

http://www.hammondmfg.com/1551TBUptbl.htm

The box is translucent so there's no need to cut a hole for the digital meter display, you just mount it in the box. Cut 1 or 2 holes in the top and bottom of the box for your connectors. 1 for the battery connector to read voltage without a load, and 1 in the top for an atty connector to read voltage with a load.

You can get (3) of these little boxes in a samples request, but you'll have to buy the digital meters....haven't found a sample source for those yet!

Prolly a dumb question but, Those work on Lith-ion as well right? Have you found any that are like the one in the pic below but smaller and cheap? I like the idea of just a few LEDs as a meter small enough to put in a small box.

Part number 1551QTBU would probably be better if you're gonna use 2 connectors, it's a little bigger.

Part number 1551NTBU is a really tight squeeze, so if you're gonna use a standard 510 batt connector, you'll have to remove the outer base flange down to the isolator base.

That'll make the connector much shorter and will allow you to mount it flush with the box so there's nothing to snag.

And I think that you only need the first two pins with that particular DM (I used a different version for mine; Blue LED). You can snip those first two pins down to a soldering joint, and the rest of the pins you can just snip off for a nice centered fit into the enclosure.

Yes, but these are capacity measurement LED's, not voltage.

This particular one I think is designed for a battery pack, so I'm not sure if it could be wired for a single cell design.

You can find them in on-line hobby/RC stores, but they're usually really expensive and bulky.

If you want one of these, I starting looking for something smaller, but you'll have to let me know.

If you have 3 sets of batteries for a infinity Pro is it best to label them A, B, C and use them in order our does it even matter
Thanks

In general its a wise idea to match the pair and check voltages periodically. If they become unbalanced, meaning voltages vary too much thats not good. matching them to similar voltages prolongs the life as well as making them safer as a pair.... less chance of a nasty divorce that way..

MAN.. I was gonna have some fun and you guys all went and got serious..

I have read that stacking batteries often causes one of the

to take on more of the load and fail faster. Could just be folly for all I know. Does not seem logical but hey.. Its on the net so..
