Hot, nasty tasting, is not acceptable performance. Don't ignore your senses.

Rocket | Fill to .8 - .9ml for optimum pleasure
Take a tooth pick and straighten out the center, if it leans they will get warm. Also they might get warm if over filled as well ... just some of my own findings ...... |

| Well, you're the D-1 expert here. Seem to remember this "whole bucket full" comment
I just got careless, and then went looking for the problem with the carto.
At least I had enough sense to stop and move on to another carto.
Hate to give up even one of these, but vaping plastic ain't my game.
From now on I'll put the plastic plug in the bottom, measure in at least 0.9ml (close to 1ml), let it sit for a couple of minutes, gently shake out any excess (do you think upside down drip onto paper towel would be OK?). and if I get a "BURNER" just give up on it and try another. They are cheap enough. Once going, topping off keeps them going for a couple days, and that fits my $1 a day hardware habit criteria.
Thanks for all the guidance with these.

If by 410 you mean M401 check your batts right when they come off the charger. The last time I checked mine (don't have any now) they were only at about 3.1V. Most e-cig batts come off at 4.2V (unloaded). Pretty much useless for any other atty. The M401 PT is at about 3.4V (unloaded) and hit's harder than the batts. In some tests, with a 2.5 ohm load, the stock Kranger KR808D-1 batt provides more voltage, under load, than any other normal e-cig batt. It blows away the the Joye 510s (normal and Mega), the Joye 510 PT and the new Janty eGo. |

| Latest tip for the 808D-1, better than the whistle tip.
The soft tip from the 801 cart. The carts are cheap, if you don't have or use an 801, add a couple of the carts to an order just to use the tip.
Soft, flexible, at least the ones I have. Slips over the D-1, slip off to fill, easy.
Note the red button on T.P., serial #2
Zippo (his idea) to a needle to melt a little hole in switch button, then red thumbtack glued in. 510 to 808 adapter.
905 with the trimmed down black button so the swamp lady won't side swipe it and lose it. 901 to 808 adapter here. 905 chrome steel case looking a little beat up. Swamp Lady is rough on an e-cig.
D-1 with a soft tip is nice.

| Any chance Lecig will have 808d-2 batteries in stock soon? my wife and I decided to get one of the overpriced 51 duo's at the mall, we split up the kit thinking one of us wouldn't like it, Well, we like it, but me being a heavier smoker, we are fighting over the chager,or the charged batts. I need more batteries quick and I think the d-2's fit the duo. the mall guys already got enough money from me and another 50 per battery ain't happening. |

They will be back and better than ever. If you need a battery, I just got two in, a trade for the D1s. PM me and I'll cut you a great deal on them. |

Rocket... Do you know if the 801 carts that healthcabin carries are the same as the ones you have? If not, where did you get the ones you have?
I use a 901 flat tip on my cartos but I always knock it off. The soft 801s look like they will stay on better.
Thank you in advance! |

Why didn't I think to email!? LOL Of course I just got up and I'm not thinking yet. (I work nights and go to bed at 7 am) And thank you for the offer, but I need a bunch, gotta fix up hubby, dad-in-law and myself. Plus I need an excuse to order from HC, I want those purple cartos |

| Tell them Happy New Year when you order
Only a few days until holiday.
The 801 soft tip is the best I have found for the 808D-1.
You even get a dummy cart with one on the 801 atty
Pushes on about a 1/4 inch then a bump then another 3/16 inch. Haven't lost one yet. The whistle worked but I lost a couple. Yes, HC and HG both have confirmed the 801 empty carts have the soft tip.

another (tightass) forum tried to solve the burnt wad problem in 808d-1 cartos and it went on and on for 20 something pages.
it was filled with "510 fanboys" and "plastic vapors" as they called each other in a projorative manner, protesting against or praising the kr808d-1
all of that bickering and they never settled on the problem be it from a defect or user error.
"IT MUST BE THE CARTO BECAUSE IT WAS BRAND NEW, I JUST FILLED IT!"
or
"IT MUST BE POOR QUALITY CONTROL BECAUSE IT HAPPENS 1 OUT 5 TIMES!"
or
"i'll just vape through it, it will be fine."
Rocket provides proof and puts the myth to rest in less than a page. Of course, nobody contest his theory as Rocket knows, or will know (tomorrow) all things PV. |

| Knows everything huh?
Man I'm getting a lot of mileage out of that 5 bucks I sent you,
My first thought was the carto, or Chinese sabotage, but whatever, I KNEW,
if it don't taste right don't vape it.
The grape flavor I'm using now colors EVERYTHING. The center wrap or the fiberflass forms wern't purkle. Fill em, let em sit. Juice goes where it needs to go.
and as most of my e-cig component failures have turned out: MY fault.
Rocket

| Slick, Rocket does not know everything. Zoltan knows everything. Rocket did not know for instance, he would be personally responsible for keeping one of the U.S. Mints open stamping out quarters for mods and to "feed" Zoltan. He paid you that five bucks in quarters didn't he. I'm not denying he's a great American and a pillar of his community as well as a magnate of some cottage idustries;but he doesn't know everything.
A promotional fee was paid by the following:
Wetland Aerospace Associates
Zoltan Investment Futures (read prospectus, some risk involved, but not predicted)
Mobile Manor Manufacturing; Dept. of Design and Development |
