| JJ,I have a gas range, works just fine. Even gets the black spots at the slots in the cup (cup glows pretty too.) The 3month special has got a tube with serious melt down from dry burns "in the tube". Looks like I dragged one of those old 5lb. plumbers soldering irons across it,still works fine, didn't even burn through.

It is a whole day of trying to make me feel bad and guilty b/c I don't call enough, visit enough, dress as they want, watch what they want, eat what they want, blah blah blah not worth it. Quote:

I can relate as there are a select few people that would tear me up if something happened to them. The only 2 relatives I cared about have passed. I do have one step grandmother I love to pieces. I did secretly meet with her one year to have Christmas. So much fun. Try to focus on all the good times with your sister and know she is with you and smiling down to you wanting you to be happy. |

So very sorry to hear that Rose. I hope the Lord will bestow grace upon you and yours this season and fill you with the joy that the season is about. I know the holidays are quite difficult for some. Especially those who have recently lost someone close to them. The time of year is is perfect for getting together with loved ones. Sadly, for different reasons, we too must make it a smaller affair. I was sincere about what I said before. I have personally found that sharing the holidays with people of a like mind can be almost as satisfying (possibly more). I am fortunate to be able to celebrate Christmas with my wife and children, and that is enough for me.
Think we gonna do a B-day cake this year.. A big ole yummy one.

Just don't let it spoil your good time if ya can. I say this as much to myself as you.

She is very protective of her mama. So they gave up contacting her directly and yap at me about how badly I raised her b/c she no longer acknowledges them. Blahahaha. But you are right. Need to surround yourself by those you love and that make the holidays enjoyable. |

| Ok, just as an aside, isn't polycarbonate the same plastic material that leaches bisphenol-a (BPA) into into food and drink?
