Hello guys, I'm about to buy a starter kit of joye 510 from

But I have some questions for you people who own a 510:

- How many time the cartidge need to be refilled?
- The battery gets weaker (decrease duration) along the time?

I'm wondering of put more batteries and cartidges on the cart, but i need to know if i really need to do that.

Thanks!

Welcome Tandera to the VapeAtron Forum.
Yours questions seem to be about refilling and battery life.
You will have to refill cartridges with liquid and recharge many times each day.
Buy liquid.
401 510 or 901 all need refill and recharge.
contact seller of your choice (or seller PM) for more info.

Good luck.
Rocketman

Comment on the next post,
ditto on waiting, better order more juice- NOW,

good luck with e-smoking tandera. its like ive said to many other people before...if you give e-cigs a fair chance, you'll never go back to real tobacco.

as for your 510 purchase i hope youre pleased. ive had mine for about a week now and couldnt be more thrilled with it. i havent even touched my e-cigar since my 510 showed up and i was a HUGE advocate for the e-cigar.

i do miss the cartridge size on it, but the 510 makes up for it in consistency and thats most important to me.

and like rocketman suggested...id get more juice if i were you lol. a 10ml bottle wont last you long

You will like the 510 better. Buy some more juice. The 084 is really small.

juice is where you end up saving the most money in the long run. buying pre-filled carts costs you more in the long run.

its really all about how you want to spend your money and time. if you have the time to fill your own carts...its cheaper. if you dont care about saving a few bucks...buy pre-filled carts.

I LOVE my 510!! Have every accessory for it(PCC, passthru, Ac to USB, USB charger, etc...) I could not live without it. I've tried others and nothing comes even close(except maybe the VX2-which is essentially a 510 knockoff). Anyone who hasn't tried a Joyetech 510, hasn't Vaped.

I like my 510s (all of them), the wife like her 901s (all of them). What really makes me comfortable is that after an initial investment in whatever model you like is having a spare or two or three. I use batteries up and always have to stress about having batteries on charge. A custom with a giant battery or a cheap flashlight mod is fine but a regular size digital cig just makes sense in public. But I need several batteries or a way to charge everwhere. The PCC, USB charger, AC to USB are all useful accessories. If one of my 510 manual batteries will fail I will use it to make a 'universal' power source. Just haven't had one fail yet. Maybe one day.

You have a great cart base to refill with 50 carts. Out in public especially, your really rock with the 84! (Trust me!)

I have a 510 also, but I mainly use it at home also.

FYI those little 084 carts are the same size as a M401's and they have those little screw on caps for freshness and security.

You'll be alright tandera! Wait and see.

Totally Wicked has a "Mega" battery listed for their Titan (510). They say it effectively lasts twice as long as their standard battery. It is listed as 280mah. I believe the standard 510 battery is 180mah. Is this correct?

Right now through 8/21/09 they have a 5 pack for 55.99 (20% off) - normally 69.99.

Any thoughts?

Rick

Yes this is correct, I've seen a review on this "mega" battery on you tube by GrimmGreen(he does really good video reviews). It does last almost twice as long(4 to 7 hours depending on how intensely you vape). However, it doesn't produce any more vapor or throat hit(because it's still operating at 3.7 volts). Also, it's quite a bit longer then the regular battery and, therefore, doesn't fit in your 510 PCC. Here's the link below:

I purchased a 510Titan from Wicked after reading tons of reviews and threads in the Forums.

A little Background: Im a light smoker; I smoke MB lights around 7 to 8 a day. I take roughly 10 to 13 drags and smoke for about 10 minutes per analog cig.
I also work in a Hopital and they have strict rules on smoking.

When I received my Titan; putting it together was a snap. The batteries had some charge already; but decided to fully charge them before I vaped. After the batteries were fully charged I installed a pre-filled tobacco High cart on the PV. According to Wicked its around 18mg of nicotine.

When I took my first drag I kept in mind to take slow long drags; instead of the harder drags taken on an analog. Well the first hit sucked; no vapor no flavor. 2nd drag got a little vapor but no throaght hit. 3rd drag felt the atti heat up and still got faint vapor and no throat hit. After vaping for a while the vapor increased and the flavor started presenting itself faintly. This really disapointed me but decided to keep going withit. I figured I needed to get used to the way these ecigs vape; I know from the forums that the experience is diff. from analogs. Later on that day I decided to install a new cart to try it out. Oh wow what a difference; I got tons of smoke and a hell of a throaght hit. It felt like I grabed a PalMal filter less analog and took a deep drag; I started coughing. So I backed off on it and took shorter drags; the flavor came through nicely. It was a sweet tobacco flavor; not bad.

I noticed that the carts dry up quickly and do not last very long. I also noticed when the carts are drying up you get a burnt tast when vaping. Now I understand why many users top off the carts. Talking about carts I noticed that the carts are messy; liquid is all over the tip thats inserted to the atti. I did not like that part; but I can live with it. I was worried that if I put the ecig in my shirt pocket it would leak. But suprisingly it did not; cool.

Overall this is something I can get used to; yesterday driving home from work I had my wife in the Truck with me and did not get not one complaint of cig smell. She kissed me and could not taste anything either. This is a big plus for me; ate dinner and vaped in the living room watching tv with the kids. No complaints. This is a great alternative for me and recommend it to anyone. There is one thing I noticed thats a neg; you tend to vape more due to the ease of it and the availability. See with an analog you know when your done; you get that completion feeling. With an ecig you don't; you have to practice more self discipline and control.

Juice, gotta have juice. Cartridges just won't do it. Juice will be messy, analogs were worse. Don't let the kids or pets get the juice. Juice, gotta have juice. 510 will leak, get a little case to protect shirt pocket.

Oh, and don't forget the juice, gotta have juice.

The Rocket
(get a little holder for the 510 to clip to your pillow and you can vape while you're in bed also)

Cool Rocketman thanks
Juice will get Juice what do you recommend. I like the clip on the bed deal I'll try that.
Juice so many Juice what to do; to many Juice.
By the way Rocketman do the empty carts come with the filler material or do you have to buy that seperatly.

Come with the filler. Last long time. Try this thread for a couple of recommendations:
First Time Jitters
Many good places to buy, spread purchases between cards to keep from burning one up from too much activity.
Get at least 30ml. 1 to 2 weeks worth for most.
Have fun, remember to take deep breaths every so often, now that you can.

Welcome to the forum. Just wanted to say - excellent post. Very informative.

I started with 510's as well after some initial research. Very happy with them. Used to smoke 2 packs/day of Camel Turkish Silvers (for 35 years!) - now vape 2ml/day of Johnson Creek Tennessee Cured 24mg. Switching over was a piece of cake for me.

It took me a couple weeks before I found my "style". Now my consumption and routine is pretty set. Seems perfectly normal now

I just received a couple custom made 801 based PV's (Personal Vaporizers) for a photo shoot (images coming soon...). Looking forward to vaping them after the work is done. I'll do a little review of them as well at that time.

Rick

The 5 pack of TW Mega batteries came in, pretty much charged up ready to go. Seems OK so far no life/charge opinions yet. Let me say you 'notice' the extra length.
I have to be all charged up when I leave for work. I guess I could get a car charger. 5 regular size 510 batteries, a PCC and 2 USB chargers can make the trip, go all day at work (using the chargers) and make it home with no problem. 3 regular 510s and I stress. I have to juggle batteries so I leave work for the trip home with everything charged. 4 seems to be the minimum to go stress free. These Mega batteries should be much better. I should be able to cut down on the bag of junk I have to carry around with me. You know, glasses, cell, token, beeper, badge, buzzers, bangles, blanket and the e-cig stuff. I look like a homeless dude walking in from the lot. Now with these Mega batteries I'll be able to cut back on at least one battery.
