Ive been testing the new Infinity (pro) beta from notcigs.com for the last month..though there are some minor difference from the final production unit..I have been informed the electronics are the final pro revised design type so the above information should be fairly accurate for RTM model
Types of cartos/attys tested: (in order of frequency used most to least)
Dual Coil Cartos 1.6 ohm up to 5.0 V preferred 4.0 V loaded
Boge LR Cartos 2.1 up to 5.65 V preferred 3.7 V loaded
G4 Cartos 3.4 ohms up to 5.65 V preferred 4.5 V unloaded (4.4)
CE2 R2 Cartos 2.6 ohms up to 4.5V preferred 3.9V unloaded (3.8)
GoGo Carts 2.6 ohms to 5.5 V preferred 4.1 V unloaded (4.0)
LR Tank Atty 2.3 ohms up to 4.2 V preferred 4.1 V loaded
As you can see from the picture next to an epower/noego 14650 this unit is about the same diameter and longer. The anodized aluminum section is much thicker (1/16" wall +/-?) in comparison and very sturdy even empty..you could stand on this without bending this tubing (not that I recommend that..

. The anodized finish provides depth hiding surface scratches very well. As I understand this bright copper color you see in my photo is not one of the final color selections for production and final units will be bead blasted.
This has been my first use of a variable voltage personal vaping device and I have to say I can see why this is a step up compared to fixed 3.2 or 3.7 voltage devices. Using the dial you are easily able to step up or down the voltage to dial it in to the sweet spot (in 0.01 V steps) for what ever carto and flavor you happen to be using. They have color coded the dial to give you an idea what your set at without having to meter it. I actually found that even with the same cartomisers different flavors like different voltages. Another advantage using this particular set up was once the voltage is set..it stays at that setting..no battery drop off through out the entire usable battery charge.. once set it will remain consistent until the batteries low voltage shut off, so theres no drop off through out the day as compared to a fresh set of batteries. I did manage to run the unit past the 3 amp limit causing it to self protect kick out but resetting the unit it was back to normal and working correctly with no problems..In my case I had to remove the batteries as this prototype does not have a master shut off however the production unit will include that Ive been told. Another aspect I really liked about VV was kicking up the voltage on an older carto to extend it life closer to when you first fired it up before the production dropped off
Overall I have been extremely impressed with this unit and highly recommend it to anybody looking for that step. Its been rock solid for me and the ability to dial it in sets it apart from anything else Ive used up to now. When you find yourself ready for the jump to VV make sure you check out the infinity pro...
Follow up: Been using this unit for over 4 months with no problems as my everyday device...the difference between the final production unit and the prototype was a switch assembly was added to bottom cap to allow positive turn off with a 1/4 turn and tubing was slightly different including a bead blasted anodized finish.
