Skydivin a'int for you!
True, but not why I'm posting this

If at first you don't succeed with e-cigarettes...don't give up!
  • Maybe you got a faulty product (they're ALL made in China and subject to mechanical difficulties) The technology is new and bound to get better as trial and error occurs. Give it time.
  • Maybe you need MORE nicotine than your starter kit offers. Most come with only 18mg nicotine which for me was definitely NOT enough.
  • Maybe you aren't using your e-cig enough ~ unlike cigarettes, you can chain vape with an e-cig without spending a fortune or totally stinkin up the place! You can vape in secret places with no worry of lingering smell - think about that ~ what some people call stealth vaping.
  • You can smoke cigarettes AND e-cigs BOTH. Cut down on the number of cigarettes per day on a gradient that is acceptable to you.
  • Maybe you need another type of e-cig that fits your lifestyle better. There are MANY models to choose from.
  • You can ask any question here and you will get an answer. Maybe you need some guidance or help to make your vaporizing experience better and more fulfilling.

very true dwell,

just also want to mention, the extra money you spend early on to test out the different kits will be made up in no time after you quit smoking. think of it as an investment. now many stores carry adaptors to make all your older models work with your new equipment.

I would like to see a new person be able to find encouragement and understanding here ~ especially if I'm suggesting it to them. Most smokers I meet are not familiar with the internet and even less knowledgeable of how forums work...

Most of the "Senior" members here see themselves as a resource for the new and confused (been there, been that) and with our callouses, cuts and receipts we can help minimise some of the cost and confusion of the start up process in this new arena.

I was never able to quit successfully on any other plan and really never wanted to. For the person who is attracted to vaping as an alternative to smoking it's nice to have people with "war stories" and warnings, whats, wheres, and whys as well as the encouragement they'll need when they find out that things break, they aren't having success at the process, and they can't seem to get it right. Nice to know there are people that have gotten successfully past that point so it's not hopeless for them.

Yup, me and the Swamp Lady, tobacco free for over a year.
It does work, and I prefer vaping, and have no cravings to
grab a ciggy.
