Ok, so I am looking into mixing my own liquid. Not to cut cost so much, but because from what I hear, when you do it right, it just vapes better. I'm not into paying $1:ml or more for the primo mixed jucies that everyone raves about, so I figure I could make my own for about $0.30/ml (what I get it for now)

I need to order supplies and to get enough for testing I needed a little help.

I'm going to be using water and everclear to mix two different batches. the alchool seems best for sanetary reasons, but I also would like to see if their is a difference in taste/TH/vapor production between water and the booze.

I just don't know what % of water or everclear to use when using the diy calculator (basically the % of water of the total solution). I would like to know so I make sure to order enough of everything else. Remember I'm not going for dirt cheap juice, but instead I want to make top shelf stuff. Here is what I'm going to start off with:

These are just estimates to come up with a 24mg liquid.

Start with reg VG and dilute with water/everclear (to thin out and create 25-30% of the total solution, Just dont know how much to use of each)
Mix with 40mg vortex PG (60% of final solution)
Super strength loranns flavor 10-15% to taste

So I need to know how many parts VG to mix with thinner (H2O/liquid courage) or the % of thinner of the final product.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Flavor. Vapor. Quality. See why Johnson Creek is America's Smoke Juice.

Personally,if I was using a PG base (40mg) nic, I would cut it with...

50/50 VG/PG

80/20 VG/Everclear....this leaves you around 5%-6% Everclear in your final 24mg juice.

Alcohol (vodka is much cheaper to try) seems to simulate TH rather than increase it. By that I mean it acts as an irritant.

According to your numbers 60 PG, 30 VG and 10% flavor. I don't think you'll need much 'thinning' at those VG levels. When it comes to flavors more is not always best as there is a fine line when more crosses the line into cloying and weird after tastes. It also seems best to use more than one flavor as this makes for a more complex flavor. I would also let the new mix sit a while before trying it and making adjustments. Don't know why but a fresh mix tastes different the next day.

thanks for the fast replies guys.

thanks lecig
thats the best calculator I've found so far. Using it for current recipe. I didn't know if people were going crazy with the water/PGA or using a nominal amount that would increase the amount of VG needed

@rocket and johnny

Thanks, personally I like pasta reheated as leftovers more than when served

that sounds good firhill

My Visco-loco-meter, the big ink syringe, helps make repeatable thickness juice.
posted in the DIY section somewhere.

I have found that VG based juice (or high percentage of VG) has a higher viscosity swing with temperature. I mix at the same temperature (about 68-70F) but juice gets a little warmer when you carry it around with you. A little thicker when mixed and it won't be as runny at 80F or so carrying it around in the pocket.

I have some for sale, very reasonable. After much trial and error it's been diluted to just the right viscosity.

That's what a "pot luck" bottle is for. Always toss my "mistakes" in there. Vape it later.
