That doesn't sound right. Maybe you put too much? Should be 3-4 drops. What are you dripping on, atty or cartomizer, and what kind?

New 510 atty that came with my BOSS. I pulled the filler stuff out of cartridge, dripped the drops onto the atty mesh, put the cartridge on and tried vaping. No taste. Was I doing something wrong?

What kind of atty? For a 510, I drip 4 drops for a brand-new dry atty, 2 or 3 each time after that. 6 drops would flood it, no vapor possible because the coil is submerged.

EDIT: just saw your response, sorry. The drip tip doesn't change the function much, it's just a convenience so you don't have to remove the empty cartridge every time you want to drip.

Should work. Like Quasi said, maybe flooded. You should at least hear a gurgling sound. Otherwise, the atty or the battery aren't functioning.

It's not exactly like a new atty, but close enough...

I agree with quasi on the strait pg or vg. that seems to carry away all of the leftover flavor. I just unscrew the atty and drop straight pg until it runs out the battery connector, wait until it drains, then blow the excess back through the top. Your never supposed to blow into the mouth end. Vodka also works well as a cleaner in this fashion.

Teri I am sorry it isnt working out for you, but a drip tip isnt crucial to making it produce vapor and flavor. have you checked out some videos on the matter? maybe someone could explain it for you better than I could. Hopefully it will work for you.

Ok guys, I'll give it another go. Probably I flooded the atty. I'll start over again with the other new atty. Let ya' know in a little while.

Ok, I guess dripping may not be for me. It worked with less drops, but it (atty) gets way too hot to suit me. I'm one of those people that takes about a good 5-6 second draw. Maybe longer. Used to make the 650 pigcig blink all the time and shutoff.

I have fallen into a "comfort zone", with almost no experimentation for months. I use a regular Joye 510 atty on an Omega. Drip tips make things nice and easy, and you can make a "ghetto drip tip" by drilling out a cartridge (dummy cartridges work best, but they're hard to find these days), or use the rubber grip from an ink pen, or just about anything of similar shape can be ground/sanded down on the end to fit snugly into the atty. Heck, you can take any stick type ballpoint and cut/grind it into a drip tip. The ones you buy are nicer, but some of them have holes that are too narrow and they don't drip through very well.

Semi-Off-Topic:

However, since I vape @ 6V (2 LiFePO4 batteries stacked in the Omega) I was getting the atty too hot for too long, and burning them out in a day or 3. I found that by "tailpiping" (lips directly on the atomizer), I can feel it and release the button before it gets too hot. I don't think any of this is relevant if you're vaping at 3.7V, because it takes so long for a vape there is no choice but to heat that atty up until it's uncomfortable. I get a good hit with 1.5 seconds of button press, then I have to stop (before it gets uncomfortably hot). My attys last about 3 to 5 weeks, now*. Of course, at 3.7V, they lasted a couple of months.

(*except when I do something dumb or get a bad one that fries on day 1)

I use the Bauway CE2's or whatever they're called. No leaking issues, no wicking issues, and to fill you remove two silicone gaskets at the top and just fill right in from the bottle. Nice warm vapor with tons of flavor and TH. Best product I've used yet. And no cracks in the tube as of yet.

I love dripping in my lr atties. The regular atties belong in the garbage though, imo. The lr atties hit like a truck and tons of vapor. When I am not satisfied with my cartos I drip and it works for me.

I heard the 306 is another sweet attie, anyone tried those?

Ralph makes a discovery!

Take the bottom connector off, and chances are the wick will pull out, too.

Find a drill a few thousands of an inch bigger than the hole where the wick goes. Insert it a littel ways in, enough to GRAB.

PULL! The plastic insert will come out.

Now, ream the wick hole open with the drill, take an 18Ga sharp hypo and ream the vent hole open.

Use the patience of a SAINT to put the #$%^&*() WICK BACK!

Reassemble and fill and wait for the vapor to kick your a!

I should say, this resolves wicking issues, esp with VG juice...

When you buy them, it should just WORK!!! Without having to constantly mess with it, mod it, fix it, or what ever... I have enough headaches without paying to have more....
