Trip,I wired up a standard 6v lantern battery to a homemade passthrough and with std res. 3Ω carto and it knocked my socks off for a week. It only dropped .4v in a week.
Not rechargeable, but only cost $4 and might have lasted a very long time. I may have to try it again with a HV atty.
